Well, it could have been worse. We only got, like, a quarter inch of snow covering. But it's a little icy, so I hope Mr. Sun comes out and smiles upon it soon. Of course it could have been better, had the southern air pushed a few miles farther inland, in which case it would have been all rain. Oh well. Oh well. La de da.

Oy. Nathan just walked down to the road and back and reports that it's a thin covering of ice, covered by a thin coating of snow ... there's just enough of it, and it's just cold enough, that throwing salt on it isn't going to do sh any good. Maybe some sand, to help with traction. But we need the sun. It's trying to come out. It's really really trying. Good thing I don't have to go anywhere, at least till later today.

Today is Birding Friday -- a once in a while occurrence.

It is quite warm here. So I will throw a couple of crawdad traps into the creek and see what wanders in.
