I will have to think about the TOD. In the meantime for the amusement of the populace, I will post part of the photo of my first grade class from Newby Elementary School.....teacher Mrs. Julia Doughty.

I am wearing my favorite STRIPED shirt....and my belt is obviously too long for my waist.

I will only post one more - from the Second Grade.....because this is my ALL TIME FAVORITE TEACHER!!! Mrs. Olive Gee - Newby Elementary School....1957-1958. She looks a bit cross and stern but she was just the opposite. She took us through Phonics and chose me to be the mailman to deliver the Valentines!

Monday morning greetings! I've been puttering in my craft corner and now must get ready for a ladies' group meeting that's being held in a house I can see from our kitchen windows. My intention was to walk, but the sidewalks are snowy/icy and the temps aren't supposed to go above about 25 today...

Alicia Keys once did a commercial for music speakers where she talked about how rough the surrounding area was over to 11th and 12th Avenues while she was growing up. (I'm paraphrasing a bit, but it was something like having street gangs, gun shots and pestilence in one direction, the lights of Broadway in the other direction.)
