Today the weather is supposed to be nice and sunny.  However, around 5:00 p.m., the snow is scheduled to slide back into the area.

The non-fun part was just more of the stress that's been here since the beginning of the year - hopefully it will go away at some point.

Oh, and just to be clear, Indiegodo Kritzerland doesn't work for the books, just CDs.

I am hoping George will check in when he gets home.

I'm home and the cat has been fed, and I have been fed (again ;) ) and am not quite ready for bed.

I assumed that.  The book has been ordered!

So guess what today feels like.  A Saturday.

If you want to know how old I am, I won't tell you.  But, here's a clue featuring one of my former publicity clients, who carries a comb.

So...

Today is a Friday (or so I’m told), and I’m doing something a little different.  I’m spending a few hours working as a volunteer for the local library, as a sorter for their book sale.  Said sale isn’t till the fall, but they need to bring some order to the donations they already have because they’re having a big donation day next week.  (It used to be you could drop things off any day of the week, but that doesn’t work in the place they’re in now.)

I’d thought about doing this for years, but this actually came about when I met with a couple of the women in charge of the sale when I took them DR Elmore’s carload of contributions a couple of months ago.  They were so impressed with that (they still thank you, DR Elmore), and we got to talking and they asked me to help out with records, CDs, and music.  Today I’m going through records, first, to see what inevitably has to be thrown out.

I was happy to have logged on for one quick moment last night before collapsing from a long, bizarre day, and being able to place one of the first orders.

Sadly, I see nothing on my doorstep this morning.  I’m afraid this leaves me no choice but to contact PayPal and raise some new, fresh, holy hell.

Last night we watched an excellent 1951 movie on TCM that I'd never seen before.  It was BRIGHT VICTORY, directed by Mark Robson, and it earned Arthur Kennedy a Best Actor Oscar nomination.

Kennedy plays a soldier, blinded in the war.  The film follows his recovery.

Although his name is not in the opening credits, if you look quick, you'll spot Rock Hudson in the film's opening scenes.
