The meeting was very interesting - I learned a LOT about my classmates that I didn't know.  The hot topic of conversation was girls who had "gone wild" and guys and their MANY marriages.

My videos were a big hit.....I just have a bit of fixing to do.....I am assuming I'm not getting any other photos, so I am going with what I have.....

It sounds like fun and I am not surprised your videos were a big hit.

It has been a good day.  The rain stopped by the time I went for a long walk this morning and my late afternoon had a fun, interesting, and lively discussion of "Defending Jacob".

TOD 1:

I’m sure I’ll remember more as the day goes on.

Bright Star
Giant
Loving Repeating

Elmore’s studio recordings of Eileen, Roberta and Dearest Enemy.

Ditto to ALL of these!  I'll also add (in alphabetical order...and I searched my CastAlbums.org profile):

And the World Goes 'Round: The Songs of Kander and Ebb
Boscos Endins (the original Barcelona cast recording of Into the Woods)
Bukowsical!
Catch Me If You Can
Closer Than Ever (2012 Off-Broadway Cast recording)
Daddy Long Legs
Dreamgirls (original London cast recording)
Falsettos
Finian's Rainbow
Fun Home
Gay's the Word (2012 London cast recording)
Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder
The Glorious Ones
Herringbone
Kristina at Carnegie Hall
L.A. Now and Then
Levi!
Merman's Apprentice
Murder for Two
Once
Once on This Island (New Broadway cast recording)
The Phantom of the Opera at The Royal Albert Hall (2011 concert cast recording)
School of Rock
The Scottsboro Boys (both the Broadway and London cast recordings)
SpongeBob SquarePants
Sunday in the Park with George (New Broadway cast recording)
Welcome To My World

And an honorable mention to the TV soundtrack cast recording to Bombshell: The New Marilyn Musical. ;)

I would certainly include a few of these, such as LA Now and Then, which I listen to quite a lot, and The Scotsboro Buys.

I like Kid Victory, which is Kander without Ebb. And I finally ordered The Landing.

Season 2 of Victoria ended on Christmas Eve, 1846, and it was quite a wonderful episode: Family! can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.  I don't always care much for the show's musical scoring, but I loved how the composer used "The Coventry Carol" in the underscoring of the winter scenes.

I cannot wait for Season 3!

Last Thursday I was given two referrals, one for acupuncture and one for an ophthalmologist. I'm having a lot of problems from a secondary cataract and need it seen to quickly. There were problems with both referrals. I spent most of Friday afternoon and again much of today trying to sort it all out. I was getting different stories from different people, and I don't think the vision center I was referred to even treats cataracts. I don't know for sure, of course, because the person who answered the phone couldn't tell me exactly what they do treat. Quite maddening. This morning, though, I phoned the insurance company and a nice, well-informed woman was able to answer many of my questions.

The only thing I didn't like was, after asking for my DOB, her comment that her mother and I have birthdays a week apart (same year).   :P  ;)

Apparently, when the referral coordinator asks for an ophthalmologist the computer gives her any ole ophthalmologist, without checking specifics. It is down to the patient to check into that doctor's specialties to know if he/she even treats your condition! Otherwise, you're given an appointment with someone who may not be able to help. I think I finally found someone and obtained a new referral, but I spent many hours getting to this point. I don't have an appointment yet, though.

I got the name of the helpful woman at the insurance company. She doesn't have a direct dial number, but she said I can ask for her. I'm taking lots of notes. I'm hoping that once I learn their procedures and have doctors I like I won't have to go through this.
