Sorry for my sudden disappearance , the neighborhood lost power , but I am happy to say that the blackout was short in duration and we are back in business

Finished The Heart’s Invisible Furies. Highly recommended, especially for those who like sprawling Irish novels. Very engrossing.

Tomorrow, I go hear Margaret Atwood at a reading. This is the second time I’ll have heard her. She’s great.

They have inexplicably forgotten to clear our driveway, front steps, pavement or even our cars of the snow

DR Kevin how is the weather?  DS Craig is home sick, maybe with the flu, but he didn't mention snow.

Got a few $1.99 CDs today. One is of Jesse Norman singing American pop songs with the Boston Pops. Enjoyed her take on Cole Porter's I Love You perhaps best of all. Her All the Things You Are has a pretentious arrangement. And her take on Falling in Love with Love is fun.

Also got a Jim Cullum recording live from the River Walk with Carol Woods as a guest vocalist. Also, Andre Previn conducting the Planets and a collection of Ravel Piano Concertos.

Jrand, that's what's been said - different actress, but Dietrich dubbed her own voice in.

I had a yummy Margarita tonight.  It was also a bit on the potent side.  As much as I wanted to finish this yummy drink I had to stop drinking it, still had a bit more than I should have.

Losing power during the hot days of summer was never uncomfortable,  but losing it during the cold days of winter was extremely uncomfortable.  I prefef to be hot than
shivering cold.
