Jose -- As much as I hope you win the lottery (I do so want to come to New York!) are you aware that there are currently 246 members of this here site to whom the term DR could apply?

Well then, we could just make it the top 10% of posters.
Let's see here... 246... 10%... 24.6... round up to 25 people...  huh, what are the odds... I'm #25! :D

We discovered, the hard way, prednisone gets converted into prednisolone so it is safer to give a cat prednisolone.

Checked the bottle, it's prednisone. Thanks for the tip, I'll talk to the vet about it and see what he thinks about switching

My dear cyber-father and I would probably agree that it's as much fun now as ever... we just might not agree with you on exactly how fun that is. :D

Damn, Jed!  You beat me to the punch.

I'm glad Bogie is doing better.

Today in my History class, I was trying to figure out what is so great about my teacher that would make her groupies take all her classes. I couldn't find any particular reason. She doesn't wear crazy socks (like my Poetry teacher), she doesn't say "hee-uh." So what is it?

Mayhap she is generous with the "A''s....?

Home again, home again, jiggety-jig!

Finally got home -- stopped by the cleaners (dropped off some clothes), the video store (bought three -- count 'em 3) DVDs, including "What A Way to Go!" for $8, and Honey Baked Ham where I procured a smoked turkey breast and a side of stuffing.

Miss Vickie has been fed and petted and cuddled and she's sitting impatiently in front of the fireplace waiting for me to fire up a log.

I, on the other hand, will be dillying and dallying over my own dinner for a little while.  I'm grilling a steak and having garlic mashed potatoes as a side.

There's a little succotash for green/yellow veggie combo.

Is tonight the night for all new Stargates and Battlestar Galactica on Sci-Fi?  I can't recall.

Oh, well.

Tomovoz thank you.

I just received, via email, a darling photo of my cousin’s daughter with Larry King.  She is currently doing an internship with his show and seems to be very happy.

Tell her to me careful, Jane.  Knowing Larry, he might just marry her!

http://www.scgsc.org/

This should lead you to this years cookies menu, I do love the Thin Mints, refrigerated or frozen  and the Double Dutch are excellent warmed up a little.  DH is a purist, only eats the shortbread trefoils, and there is a woman in my office who buys a whole case of Soamas every year, she says she freezes them and has one box a month so she makes it to the next sale!!  ;D

Is it Girl Scout Cookie time?  We have about 4 ladies and gentlemen in the office that sell them for their kids.  I always try to buy at least one box from each because I don't like anyone to be left out.

I use to do that with the thin mints.  I think in some area Soamas are or were called Caramel deLight.  I thought there was a new cookie this year.

Well out here in Suffolk County on Long Island we sell from 1/7
until mid March, but I think different areas sell at different times.
This is the Vixter's  7th years as a Girl Scout , but my first as leader.  We have ten 6th graders (we started with 20 kindergartners, but we have "move aways" and "drop outs" over the years.)  Its nice to see how well the remaining girls work together.  They are Juniors now and bridge up to Cadets at the end of the year... I am trying to keep them interested so they stay with the program.  We do a lot of community service, which is nice because it gets the girls a little less self-involved. My troop has a bunch of really outgoing creative, talented girls, so they are planning variety show, where the entry fee will be non perishable food items for the local food pantry,  and they are writing a play (to perform with puppets they made) for a group of kindergarten aged Girl Scouts

I took over the troop a little reluctantly, but I really am having a lot of fun with the girls

I think there may be different cookies offered in some areas of the country, because they are all baked by local bakeries

I went on ebay to see if any one was auctioning cookies (and they were!) and there were some varieties there I had never heard of .

The phone rang early today.  Illness struck the daycare center the grandlads attend, so der B and I had to dash off and ladsit once again.

As a result, our listening and viewing today consisted of:

DVD: Looney Toons.

Car CD player:  Liz Calloway, The Beat Goes On.  The older grandlad protested shortly after we picked him up, saying the music was "boring" and that he wanted us to play the soundtrack to Tarzan (the only disc he wants played).  After the third protest/whine, I shot back that it was MY turn to pick the music, and he could wait patiently.

He waited patiently.  We next played Tarzan.  (A trip to the grocery store was involved; hence the additional driving time.)

A Starbucks CD of opera arias, called La Grande Passione.  This was played on our way home, a detox from all the cartoon music.

Nope, which means she's enjoying a good bit of drug-assisted sleeping.  If there's no word from her in the next couple hours, I'll try to get hold of her and let y'all know how she's faring.
