Well - I am heading out soon for the ONLY rehearsal of the FundRaiser.  It happens at 1:30 pm - scary.  The weather is NOT cooperating, but hopefully I can get to the venue.

And I hope the person in charge of costumes remembered to get mine - I was on the list, but well....I have worked with her before.

Lovely......absolutely lovely.....he'll never believe I'm a girl...look at me....JUST look at me!

Many of my favorite songs with love have been mentioned so I'll try to think of others....

If I Loved You - Carousel
All at Once You Love Her - Pipe Dreams
I Love my Wife-  I Do I Do
Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful- Cinderella
People Will Say We're in Love - Oklahoma
Love Changes Everything - Aspects of Love

I wish Jerry Herman had written HELLO DOLLY in the 1950s so we could have had THAT cast in the film musical version. I don't think Paul Ford could sing, but all of the others are perfectly cast for the musical version and would have made a glorious one! I cannot wait to get my hands on THE MATCHMAKER. It's really a wonderful production of that play.

All of my favorite LOVE songs have already been named but for the record, they certainly include:

"Love, Look Away"

"Love Is a Many Splendored Thing"

"I Loved You Once in Silence"

"Falling in Love with Love"

Sorry to be E&T last night, but I was at my friend's house doing the last few hours of calibrations for the new home theater we set up this week.

The one negative about new TVs is that there are SO many inputs, and each one has to be calibrated separately.

Because I was gone last night, I didn't get to see MONK with the new cast member who has replaced Bitty Schram. She has gotten good reviews, so I look forward to seeing it (I recorded it on the DVR while I was out last night).

Was just reading on the DVD classics page that Fox has taken HUSH HUSH SWEET CHARLOTTE and PINKY off of their release schedule. Warners has also removed that Errol Flynn boxed set. Wonder what the problems are?

Songs with "love" in the title... here's a surprise :)

Love Changes Everything
I Don't Know How To Love Him
You Must Love Me

(did I mention Love Changes Everything?)

DR elmore, could you re-orchestrate "Yesterday I Loved You" in your spare time?  It's such a lovely song, words and melody, but a HORRID accompaniment!!!!

(did I mention Love Changes Everything?)

I know I know songs with the word Fish in the title, that may take more time.

And no... Fish does not change everything!

Good Morning!

Well...  I got the call about an hour ago... The matinee is still on for this afternoon, so...  Ah, well...

As for "Love" songs...

Ditto.

;)

But I'm not sure I came across the following ones yet:

"A Little Bit In Love" - Mmm-mmmm....
"It's Love, I Think" - from Another Midsummer Night, and it's on the BK-produced, "Shakespeare on Broadway".
And from I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change - "Highway of Love", and "Shouldn't I Be Less In Love With You?"

And from the classical repertoire, albeit en français:
"Les chemins de l'amour" by Francis Poulenc.  A simply beautiful song.

OHH!!!!  And my niece, Alexandra, came over here this morning with her brother and her father (my brother, Mike), and she actually didn't run screaming from me!!!  In fact, she fed/shared one of her Goldfish crackers to/with me, and she even asked me to find somemore "Gold-pishhh" when she had emptied the bag.  And we even played horsey too!

And I have to say my favorite "Love" song is Gershwin's "Our Love Is Here To Stay" - especially the verse.
