The plumber suggests not resetting - first you have to check for gas leaks and other stuff, and it's tricky to boot.

Mom got back home tonight. She has oxygen handy, and their home helper just left an hour ago, but they think she'll be better off at home than in the hospital.

Good vibes it doesn't happen again. If it does maybe you should call the gas company first. They go out fairly quickly and check for gas leaks, plus they don't charge for the service.
