To my knowledge, I have no spell check working here. I do use the iPad’s auto-fill capabilities, and if you go fast it’s easy to hit the wrong word.

Vacuuming, litter, and morning patrol accomplished.  Annabelle stopped by to say hello to Val and Heidi, and she didn't want to leave their apartment.  It must be the fact they have four more rooms for her to explore.

Tuesday.....tonight we are finally getting to the Cabinet scene/song after many postponements, etc.  We shall see what happens.

I am also improving the ending of "...Herbert Hoover", which will cause much excitement and murmuring among the populace.....

I will also be playing Major Metcalfe in the July production of THE MOUSETRAP which will be fun....and yes the woman auditioning who also thought she was a director has been cast....

This could be amusing or annoying....time will tell.

WELL......we are having a tree taken down....an elm tree that has outlived its time....a silver oak topped and trimmed....and our crabapple tree trimmed.

Sunday when my mother was attending services, she was cornered by my sister in law and her daughter in law (married to my nephew)....who said they wanted the wood from the tree to burn this winter.  My mother just said....uh okay.

I of course was not so happy when I heard this development. In the first place, they are two of the laziest, ungrateful people I have ever known in my life....and I can't imagine they would move the wood in a timely manner.

The tree man, when I told him, said that if we keep the wood, he would just leave the trunk in the yard.  He doesn't cut it up.

So.....this morning I told my brother that the tree man would be taking the wood and that said ingrates would not be getting it.  He said okay.....but I have a feeling we have not heard the end of this.

Do you have many scenes with her?  If not, sit back and enjoy the discomfort of others.

The new med really knocks  me out, I took it last night and then I was OUT...the nice thing is that I am now sleeping through the night instead of my usual 2 or 3 wake ups and I am not groggy in the morning

The best you can hope for with a medication.

Posture from the car place again, by the bye. The A/C coolant still leaked after being refilled the other day. These leaks can be hard to find, depending on the car.

So tomorrow I leave for Ohio, and we’ve decided I’m taking Kristi’s car and she’ll use mine for the week. I can’t take a chance on being without the A/C, either on the road or driving around Cincinnati. Amazing to think that at one time we lived without it completely. Now, no way.

I am glad you are trading cars for your road trip.  Vibes all goes well and that your car can be fixed.

Stay strong DR Jrand, the tree man gave you a perfect excuse to get rid of the tree.

Tuesday morning greetings!  I will be E & T most of the day due to end-of-year meal functions for 2 of my 3 ladies' groups.  Current Events Club has a luncheon today and AAUW Middletown has a dinner, both at Brown's Run Country Club.  DAR had their luncheon there LAST Tuesday.

Thanks to DR TCB for the knee vibes from last night.  It still hurts today, but much improved over yesterday.

TCB - That's because you were always such a gentleman and kept us at ease.

Though we did saw "Awe - something"  or was it "Aw - something" when you couldn't get to the Village show?  Does that count?  :)

Please rest up a day or two before before June 14, though. :)

The HHW June 14th mini-get-together promises not to be rowdy, but the show is not until 8 that night.  It should be under 2 hours, with intermission, though.

Jrand, in case you want to sing to the tree.  I think this has been linked on HHW before, but if you never saw it, it's new to you.  :)

Hosted by Frank Rich in 1976 - about  "Someone in a Tree"  (Frank Rich was about 25 and the film critic for the NY Post then.  (This aired as a 30-minute show on a Sunday morning.)

Also features J. Weidman & S. Sondheim, and several cast members from the show.  The ending (of part 2 below) when they sing the song is a thrilling wind-up.

Someone in a Tree - Anatomy of a Song -Documentary hosted by a very young Frank Rich about the song "Someone in a Tree" from Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's musical, Pacific Overtures, 1976

Part 1 of 2 - about 13 minutes

John Weidman back then looks like a handsome version of Ron Jeremy (for those aware of Ron Jeremy's oeuvre in the 1970s.  I didn't know Mr. Jeremy's film work until years later.)

Yes DR JANE, I thought so, too.

I actually think my brother was GLAD because he knew he would have had to do the work.

DR ELMORE I read the play again last night, and I do not think I have more than one group scene with her....certainly nothing between just the two of us....so that is a relief.

I didn't think of him being glad not to do the work, that's funny.

For the first time in six months I opened the linen closet door on a permanent basis.  I had closed it when Thatch came to live here because he was so small I feared if he got lost or stuck inside it we might never find him again.  Now that he's nine months old and the size of Annabelle when she arrived last September, I think we'll be okay.  Annabelle used to hide there and climb onto one of the shelves of sheets and towels to sleep.

It's funny watching him investigate all these new scents, nooks and crannies.
