Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fascinating notes, and now it is time for you to post until the fascinating cows come home.

I'm now going to watch Andrew Rannells' PBS concert and record it to my DVD burner so that I can have it on a DVD.

I'm at the part where Andrew is singing "Your Fault."  He does sing the whole thing!

Andrew Rannells put on a great concert.  I really enjoyed it!

The recording of Andrew's concert onto my DVD burner is complete.  I've edited out the unwanted beginning and ending of the broadcast and will now burn it onto a (standard def) DVD with Stephanie J. Block's concert.  Previously, I'd burned a DVD with the concerts of Sutton Foster and Leslie Odom Jr.

Today, Cinder Edna has a 2 p.m. matinee (there are no evening performances on Saturdays, just the mainees on both Saturdays and Sundays), then I'll go to my sister's to help her set up for the Mother's Day brunch that she's having on Sunday.

Lovely new review for GEE from Mark (of Amy and Mark):

"Is the hand on the cover of “GEE,” Bruce Kimmel’s 18th book, beckoning you into the past, or welcoming you into the future? Turns out it’s both, and the personal journeys that collide within are both entertaining and enchanting, melancholy and magical, sad and sumptuous.
Kimmel’s past novels—whether it’s the charming nostalgia of the semi-autobiographical “Kritzerland” trilogy or the clever time-travel epic “Thrill Ride”—are love letters to the past, and in “GEE” the titular character comes of age in the days when Chaplin and Pickford ruled the box office. But this headstrong, willful and peculiar girl doesn’t spend the book lingering in silents, she is thrust into the era of talkies and far beyond, coping as best she can with the changing decades and hanging onto to memories of what could have been, what should have been — and using those memories to comfort her as she comes to grips with the reality of what is.
When the book charges forward into the 21st century, a new character is introduced, one who is as headstrong, willful and peculiar as the person who came before. She, too, is navigating life, searching for her niche, coping as best she can. One day her future becomes illuminated by the past, as if a hand had reached back through time to guide her. Fate, odds, second chances ... all begin to steer her toward happiness, not regret. She had found her way — at last.
You owe it to yourself to find your way to “GEE.” It’s an emotional trip through the decades that will live on in your heart."

T.O.D.

I have a special affection for "Swanee," since it's an Al Jolson song.

Saturday morning greetings!  This is a quick Hi and BYE before I head north to my sister's.  The predicted high temperature there today is 10 degrees cooler than it was here when I got up 3 hours ago.  Can you say L-A-Y-E-R-I-N-G wardrobe?

I thought I kept in my message folder (From George I believe) how to upload photos to HHW by not have to link them from another site.

Can someone please remind me how it is done.

Thanks

I slept badly.  Thatch sat in the window crying too much of the night, and I wish I could decipher of he's mourning something, missing something, conjuring birds.  Perhaps his neutering was a botch and he's calling to a female?
At one point, while he was sleeping on my bed, I think he had a nightmare.  So, this morning I fed the cats at 6:45 and went back to bed for three hours.

Now that I'm up I must plan my day, which may include a trip to City Center for the matinee of Me and My Girl.  I could do that tomorrow as well.

Turns out I had eggs in the house after all. Of course, I didn’t see them until I was back from the market.

Rhubarb cake is in the oven. I had just enough fresh rhubarb for the cake (3 cups).
