Plus, here we are again at show time, and there's no telling whether we'll be rained out tonight. Or tomorrow night. Or Saturday night.

What a cycle.

Good luck, ChasSmith!  It was actually sprinkling in Tumwater today as I drove to work!! :D Halle-freakin'-looya!!  FINALLY!!

Today, my friend David is visting from Seattle and we're going to meet for lunch.  I don't know if his wife, who still works in Olympia, will be joining us.  We agreed to meet, and then I remembered that I had ordered some Schwan's and it's scheduled to be delivered sometime between 1 and 3 pm.  Fortunately, the receptionist can take my order and put it in the freezer for me.  He's been willing to do it before.

That's convenient.   Have a nice lunch.

Thanks, Jane.  Hopefully, the Schwan's guy will get here before my lunch with David.  That would be best.

You could just have two lunches and not have dinner.  (unless the Schwann's keep Ok in the fridge.)

It said in the paper that New York has the Pokey and Schleppy awards for the worst bus routes. (however you pronounce "route" :) )

when I read "Pokey and Schleppy," I  thought of Felix Unger's "Happy and Peppy and Bursting With Love" from The Odd Couple
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcbDxWU45zw

and of course Jaye P. Morgan's sultry version!!! (which Felix thought took too many liberties with the song)

At first I thought a "wellness check" meant money.  But I get it now.

Question for NEW YORK dear readers....

Do the natives pronounce route: rowt or root?

I pronounce it rowt, but I'm from Ohio.  The reason I brought this up is because most New Yorkers I know are not from New York City or State originally.  I would suggest seeing what the preferred pronunciation is in the dictionary and using that.  Even if Neil Simon's characters are native New Yorkers, they are well educated.

It all worked out.  The Schwan's guy got here about 45 minutes before David, mainly because David got a call from work and had to push back our lunch time by about 15 minutes, which was fine.  And although I've never had them before, I got the Fully Cooked Bratwursts, which look really good, so I'm sure that they'll be. :)

All of Schwan's stuff is frozen, so it can't be left out, unless it's something like their cakes that just need to be defrosted, which my Fully Cooked Bratwursts shouldn't be.
