My teen and I were there tonight.   This was an excellent Kritzerland, just great, great material, super singers and lots of nice vibes at Vitellos.  Congratulations to all ----

I think folks will like the new venue, it's in a charming neighborhood, the room is cozier than the Federal, and not a bad seat in the house.  Plus a real full menu (Thank the Lord), and they even have BREAD while you're waiting for the meal to come up.   Lovely wait staff.  We're sold.

I'm now home and ready to go to bed.  Last night, I went to the Broadway Olympia Productions' karaoke night.  It was essentially a chance for the cast (and a few crew and staff) to get together and sing karaoke.  I didn't sing but I got some ideas, so, to paraphrase a song from Cabaret (the last show in BOP's first season), Maybe Next Time. ;)

My friend Karen, who had volunteered during Legally Blonde, was there and we sat together and chatted all night.  She sang a few times.  She actually used to host karaoke professionally.  The karaoke-ing ended a little after 11:00, and since both Karen and I were a bit hungry, we walked down to McMenamin's The Spar and shared the two cheeseburger sliders and an order of Cajun tots from their Happy Hour menu.  Delish, as usual!  We talked and ate and chatted and caught up.  Before seeing each other at Legally Blonde, we hadn't seen each other for several years.  We met doing shows together probably 20 years ago.  A great time was had by both.

We're excited about working with BOP, and about the fact that a theater company in town is finally doing these kinds of big musicals again.  I'm going to audition for their next show, A Christmas Story, the original stage version of the show that was performed live on TV last year.  Karen's kind of busy now, but expects to audition for the last show in their season, Cabaret.

Yesterday turned into a day of cleaning up clutter from the cats.  Annabelle's climbs and descents have resulted in too much clutter on the floor, so when I began the pickup, it was like the seven layers of Troy.  I had to empty the bottom shelf of a CD case to get behind it to retrieve several CDs and theatre programs that I couldn't reach by hand. Then I couldn't find a CD I wanted to play and that resulted in the same kind of cleanup and search in another part of the apartment.  I'm really happy the dust buster's working, but i will be glad when I can afford a new vacuum.

The Act One run thru was most excellent last night.  I was still getting notes and blocking up until the time it started....

I get notes on lines and WORDS....the director doesn't really understand that sometimes....it's a joke....but I am only there to do a job....

Also, sorry that the pictures are actually rather poor. Bad angles, telephoto lens, impossible lighting to deal with from that distance, etc.
