bryan suggested i take an advil since i wasn't taking anything else for the pain and to help the swelling.  i took it about 45 minutes before we went for a walk and was able to take a decent one.

I worked very hard today.  Between 10 and 2:30 I stood on a ladder and dusted and pulled books from about 15 feet of book shelves before I crossed to the other wall and worked on six feet of shelves.  I found the place where Annabelle lost her footing and fell, and I readjusted the books so she won't fall if she ever goes up there again.

i hope this keeps her safe and well and you haven't hurt yourself.

Wherefore art thou, IHOP?
Vixmom will understand. Oh yes. Yes, she will.

We've eaten at IHOP thrice this week, and we've only been in the country since  Tuesday

I don't know where these days are going or what exactly I'm doing - but I'm not doing what I should be doing - casting.

I know I've been home since noon, so what the HELL have I been doing all this time?  I did have a telephonic conversation, that I remember.

my head is much, much better today which means the nausea is as well.  what a relief.

So what ended up happening? They fit you in for a consultation that same day? The next day? And then you had the surgery right away? What did the doc say about your elbow? How long will you be out of commission? And will it heal completely?

they fit me in for the last appointment after the doctor was out of surgery.  he actually never made it but i saw his impressive PA (assistant) who removed my cast, sent me down the hall for new x-rays, ordered surgery for the following afternoon, and put a new cast on.

the surgeon has a great bedside manner and spent a good amount of time talking to me before the surgery.  he said due to the delay in getting this fixed i may never gain full motion on my elbow.

due to my soft bones the cast has to stay on 2 weeks instead of one, another delay before i can begin PT.

nope

Yes, my book group read it and I wanted to like it more than I did.

I’m also interested in Rob Lowe’s remake of THE BAD SEED on Lifetime tomorrow.

We then came home for lunch and went to a late afternoon reception at the offices of the Middletown Community Foundation to meet their new executive director.

From there we met Rob and Mary Linda at the barbecue jernt on Central Avenue to celebrate his 33rd birthday.

That's a lot of socializing in one day for a couple of homebodies!

Happy birthday greetings to Rob!

Wonderful stuff. One of these days I'll watch it again. I love Susan Hampshire's performance as Lady Glencora.
