The concert sounds like it was fun DR GEORGE.

A STAR IS BORN was quite excellent.  I enjoyed it very much.  Mr Bradley Cooper and Ms. Lady Gaga were both good.  The story is the story....but it was told well.....time went by fast and the star wasn't so much born as suddenly THERE SHE WAS....but the original music was good.  I liked all of the songs.

I went to WalMart this morning to buy the soundtrack since it was released today.  I was there at 9:15 a.m. and there was ONE...count it...ONE CD left on the rack....ONE.....it was the edited version which I assume means in the dialog parts they don't swear.... I bought it anyway - and it is nice.

Dialog during music.....almost ALL of my dialog was within music in SISTER ACT....

During Take Me to Heaven - I was giving my sermon during the intro, and the sisters were coming on doing some humming.  If I got any laughs - and well....you know me....sometimes I went a few seconds long....so I just kept rolling my podium toward the center of the stage so they wouldn't walk in front of me.....I always finished before they started singing....but I got another laugh....

Then in Sunday Morning Fever, I had dialog in the music in FOUR different places with four different costumes....so I had to count the measures as I was talking....it was actually a fun challenge....

My elbow needs a break from using the mouse, and it is worse using my tablet.  I will pop in much later today and only briefly.

Well, I sent a request for information email to the director of the Christmas production.  I'll wait and see if I get a response.

I thought I would have a solo.

One of the funniest spoken lines I can recall during a song, or at least I thought so:

at 3:12 - Nell Carter saying "Look, I don't care who she is, that's an awfully long solo."  (Ain't Misbehavin')

It's a gloomy day in Northern Virginia, but I don't care--the temperature is 20 degrees cooler than yesterday.  It's 67 degrees now.

The article about the new Partridge Family-like series that's coming mentions "Partridge Family" was based on The Cowsills.    Was that always acknowledged?

(and any way for BK to capitalize on this?)    :)

Senator Susan Collins sounds so much like Gwen Verdon; I keep thinking she'll end her soliloquy and finally do the number.

It is also gloomy here and only 51 degrees plus it is wet.

I am home from a good reading.  Lots of questions to resolve and some notes to repair.

When our server brought our meals there were two huge crepes on my plate.  She said I told them 1/2 order, I know you always get half order, that's all I'm charging you and I'll bring you a box for the other crepe

Nice!

I do not like the way I am aging.  This morning I lost my balance and nearly fell, knocked over a glass of water, and created a mess.

Oh, no!  Glad you're okay!

It really was, Jrand!  And I'm really glad that I only missed one song of the concert. :D

I'm up, I'm up - a bit over eight hours of sleep, I think, so that's good.  Must rest my voice today.

I found this message in "junk" today, from former dear reader PennyO - think I should do it?  BEWARE, folks, BEWARE:

Hi,

Hope you're doing well? I need a little favor from you. I need to get an iTunes gift card for my Niece, It's her birthday but I can't do this now because I'm currently travelling. Can you get it from any store around you? I'll reimburse as soon as I am back. Kindly let me know if you can handle this.

Thank you very much. The total amount she needs is $200 ( 100 x 2 ) from any store around you. I need you to scratch the back of the card to reveal the pin, then take a snapshot of it showing the pin and have the image attached and email to me.

Penny.
