My sister and her husband were married right out of high school, but their marriage ended about five years later. My brother-in-law married another woman and they had a son.  My sister continued to hold out hope, and indeed he got a divorce and they eventually got remarried.

My niece’s oldest son, who is in prison, had a daughter with a girl that he was dating.  They broke up, long before the baby was born.  She will turn four years old on December 27.
