It's comfort food season in our house. Last night I made chicken and dumplings, one of those "throw everything into the pot, let simmer, then add the dumplings for the last twelve minutes" deals.
Tonight, at der B's request, I'm making pork chops with cabbage, apples, and taters. Savoy cabbage, of course, shredded. Apples, onion, and taters cubed. And apple cider for the liquid. Seasoned with some caraway. Another "throw everything together and simmer" dish.
