Yes, the song is sung as written, but I don't have to do much movement. The kids are in line and they're brought to me one at a time by the elves, then they're taken away from me.

THIS is the song from the "World Premiere Recording," made before it came to Broadway, I think. A few of the lyrics are different than what we're doing, and we're not taking it as fast but it's otherwise the song.

He was just the narrator on that recording. Liz Callaway sang the part of the mother, and she wasn't in the Broadway production, either.
