Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland at Vitello's 94, and now it is time for you to post until the 94 cows come home.

TOD when my mom and i were San Francisco, we had dinner at our hotel near Fisherman's wharf.  I had a daquiri which of course was blended.  Unfortunately I when I drank it, I found ground glass in it.  They offered to comp an after dinner drink for my mom!

Topic of the Day:  I don't think I've ever found something terribly wrong with a meal that I've had.  I've had minor annoyances, but not very often at all where I've had to send something  back.  My friend Margo is more likely to call attention to things like that than I am.

Today starts the last pay period where we can earn extra hours to get a paycheck on December 31.  I've been working overtime (at time and a half) and will also cash in some vacation time to make up the difference.  We can accrue up to 86 hours between working overtime and cashing in vacation.  We have until December 15 to do all of this.

GROUND GLASS?!  Oh Lord they should have comped the entire meal.  Try the mold next time!

Alexa actually ate up the rest of the dessert, and who knows if those other tiny donuts had mold on the bottom of them.  Congratulations to Bruce on the Kritz holiday show.

Have a good week everyone.  Off to sleep, oh boy it's really late.

This is ACC #30126, Levi aka Bruiser, one year old.  I think his murder aka euthanasia in July 2018 haunts me the most because he was so damned adorable.  How can you justify murdering something so precious?

Great to read about both the Kritzerland and Carol shows. And how amazing to get that positive review on top of it.

TOD

I’ve too many stories to tell, and as a critic, I tried various ways of dealing with bad experiences to see what would happen. One of the worst was finding a broken ceramic cup handle in a dessert. The server refused to acknowledge it, so did her manager. I wrote it up and they still refused to even apologize.

Monday morning greetings!  Today I have a holiday luncheon with one ladies' group, and tomorrow another.  On my way to today's event I'm going to visit my friend Sharon who had hip surgery last week and take some homemade soup for her and her husband.

TOD - My worst experience was the last morning of our honeymoon.  We had an early breakfast at the hotel and headed to Oxford for the graduate class we were taking together.  I'd made the mistake of eating the sausage gravy that tasted a little "off" and we came home by way of the emergency room.  They young physician asked if I could be pregnant and I said, "I've only been married a week!"

For this week:

It's far more generous of you to offer what you would do if you were in you-know-who's shoes than to offer a critique of said shoes -- anyone can be a critic. Also, what you say is just as important as how you say it. The details of this person's situation are certainly more complicated than you realize, and coming on too strong will only diminish your position from where you can dispense advice (and it is certainly a position you enjoy). As for dispensations of other kinds, money is tight at the end of the week, so don't go driving down the highway throwing dollar bills out the window.
