I'm currently reading a book about the infamous Ronnie and Reggie Kray, so I read from 8:00 to 9, and decided it was too cold to stay up any longer.  By the time I finished filling the humidifier, the cats' water bowls, putting the heavy comforter on the bed, and shutting down the apartment, it was almost 10.  Annabelle and Thatch stayed close all night, and several times Annabelle crawled under all of the blankets to get warm lying next to me.  The problem is that once she's there, she spreads out, taking up the space of two of me.  Thatch has a heavier coat, so he prefers to lie on top of the blankets and cuddle next to me.

The taxes continue today.  At some point I must make a trip to Broadway farms for more deli turkey,  They are the only place in the area carrying low sodium turkey.  I would think all delis would be carrying it these days.

DRs TCB and vixmom seem to be having good times, so I am quite happy about that.

Annabelle helped me clean the litter, and as soon as I finished, she jumped in to pee.  She will not be happy that we are not patrolling this morning.  It's too damned cold to wander around the halls.

I need to make four Upper West Side stops on my outing this morning: my bank, Petco, Broadway Farms, and Citibank with a notary.

We are already up from -1 this morning to about... zero by now, I think.

But hey, we’ll be getting up to fifteen later today!

We got all our statements, and surprisingly some came in well before January 31 that in the past have waited until the last minute, so I was able to finalize ours and get it out. Businesses like yours, Larry, are still complicated but that's a very good thing, since the complexity is all about the deductions, which are good.  (The income side is pretty clear.)

Since we're not itemizing, just taking the standard, so many detailed calculations needed in the past aren't relevant under the Trump-Mnuchin Income (I use that so I can call it "TMI," but that hasn't caught on :) ) rules.    I'm thinking only people with extremely high medical  or very generous charity deductions will be itemizing.

Good morning, DR FJL!   It's been a while.  Sorry I missed Herringbone, but at least I have the CD.  What a tour-de-force!  Exactly as I remember the original production.

This "Who Wants To be a Millionaire" contestant fraud in the UK from a decade ago seems to have been a big deal there.  But it seems so easy to catch, that it seems strange they thought no one would find out.

The video's ten minutes, but SPOILER -

it seems it was done just with coughing from people in the audience.  It seems so rudimentary that every now and then I wondered if it's a joke, but ...

Watching Helena Bonham Carter in a production of Arms and the Man. I wonder if this were before A Room with aView.

Did she tell you they gave her the best table in the house? (or what looked like the VIP table of VIP tables.)
