Watching That Forsyte Woman with a great cast of Greer Garson, Janet Leigh, Errol Flynn, Walter Pidgeon and Robert Young.

Great source material in Galsworthy's novels. Why is the movie so stodgy?

Surprises me. Shortly after I graduated college, I read all nine of the novels in the Forsyte Saga. I couldn't get enough of them. I might have even gotten involved in a minor car wreck while reading one volume and trying to drive in the rain. The details are slightly hazy.
