Ms. Close is the only one of the actresses I have seen perform in person.  I saw her in BARNUM on Broadway.

Cool!  She had left Sunset Blvd. by the time I saw it.  Betty Buckley was fantastic, though. ;D

I know Glenn Close is a favorite but Melissa McCarthy was GREAT in Can You Ever Forgive Me?.....

Melissa just won the worst actress award for The Razzies. ::)

For the same role?  Sandra Bullock won the Razzies award for "All About Steve" the same year she won the Oscar for "The Blind Side".

How I met Hudson was interesting. Into the Woods had just been published, and my friend Carol told me that she knew Hudson and that he lived nearby. So, I asked her to get me in touch with him. He was happy to do an interview.

During the time we talked, we somehow discovered that we had graduated from the same high school in Louisville. He's 10 years older than me, but we knew many of the same people, had some of the same teachers, etc.

When I started at the paper in San Antonio, the HR director turned out to have been a classmate of Hudson's, which we discovered when started talking. Small world.

That's so cool!
