The bulbs are changed and Thatch is happy to have the ladder back.  I store it in a cul de sac created by the bookcases next to my bed.  He like to perch on the ladder steps and watch the parade.

I'm just checking in here before I go to the first of 2 events today at the library where my career began.  First up, a discussion of the book Lab Girl, which my other group read some time ago.  Hope I remember enough to contribute to the conversation.  Later this afternoon we'll go back for the geology professor's monthly national park lecture.  Today's topic is Grand Canyon.

I agree.  But that's what these series do - every episode has to have a bit cliffhanger and new potential villain, and then they always need the "wow" moment at the end, the final thing and they don't care how implausible it is.  I found it ALL implausible after episode five.

I must say, I haven't read a lot of the Golden Age critics, but Walter Kerr, whether one agrees or not, was a good writer.

When I was a teen I read a collection of reviews by Walter Kerr.....titled I think Pieces At Eight....  Even though at that time I didn't know anything about a lot of the shows, it was most entertaining.....
