I couldn't figure out how to turn on the TV (not that there are any English language channels other than BBC World and CNN International). I called the front desk. I was asked: "Did you push the red button at the top of the remote?" "Yes." "Push the number 1 instead." Oh, okay! That worked! Who would have known?
i have a question for John.. how does one become a professional food critic?
We ran into a quagmire in the new orchestra parts for How To Succeed . . . yesterday afternoon. My colleague works fast, and by 7:00 the corrections in Reeds 2 and 4 were made. I'm finding small fixes as I go over the parts, so that's good.
I wonder what DR Ginny will have to say about TCB'S Ohio comment, but then he did iinclude the beautiful state of Utah so it was obviously a joke..

My favorite egg sandwich is what I call the Alice, after the 1st floor neighbor who gave me the recipe: 2 slices of good grain bread, 2 eggs made into an omelet, ranch dressing, and lots of alfalfa sprouts.
