Back from picking up some packages and a surprise WGA residual for The Faculty - not huge, but always appreciated - then a Taco Bell stop, then home and eating. I'm now listening to music. One of those "modren" symphonies by Ernst Toch, whose film music I enjoy, but whose twelve-tone serious music seriously has eleven tones too much for my ears. It's funny whose twelve-tones you can tolerate and whose you can't.

I watched War of the Satellites on my ROKU this afternoon.

I like any space movie that has Barcaloungers for the team as the rocket takes off.

And now, I must be off to work concessions for a comedy show, which I probably won't watch. Since those are in the smaller black box theater, there usually isn't any room for us volunteers to sit, so standing for an hour and a half or so for a comedian that I've never heard of and might not like at all doesn't sound like something that I want to do...so I won't.

Now playing: the six-CD box set called The Cinema of Quincy Jones from Universal France. As with other Stephane Larouge "productions" thus far it is mastered way too hot - one wonders whether Mr. Larouge has hearing issues or just lets the mastering person do whatever he wants? Hint: this is not heavy metal music, this is a soundtrack.
