Pickle Pie.....Earth Vs. The Pickle Pie......Attack of the Giant Pickle Pie....The Amazing Colossal Pickle Pie....

I can't wait for the movie....for the pie....I can wait....

Sounds like potential Patrick Bronstein movies! :))

And, best of all the trip was a great success. I may incur the wrath of Samuel French employees, but for years they've let their musical theatre materials be handled by incompetent supervisors, and the Al Carmines show Promenade, which Summer Encores is doing this summer, is a case in point. The orchestra parts are often in different keys from the vocal score, and the libretto they're sending out is the playwright's revised script which cuts three songs in the score.  Our trip to New Paltz was to look at the collection of Susan Romann, conductor of the 1969 off-Broadway production that opened the Promenade Theatre.  All of her rehearsal and performance materials were there - conductor's score, a lot of the original orchestra parts, rehearsal and vocal scores, and the original script with pages of revisions.

That's so cool, Larry!

My last piece of good news was an email tonight from Warner Music Group telling me the check would be cut on Monday.

Great news!  It's about freakin' time!

And finally...I'm outta here!  I'm working concessions at the WCPA during the first night of Olympia's Arts Walk.  Concessioning will be quite easy, but finding a parking spot will take forever!  My call time isn't actually until 7:00, but I'm sure that I'll need the time to park.  And I want a little time to look around myself, so there's that. ;)

Be back later!

As soon as we left the NYC area my allergies cleared up and I felt great most of the day.

If only you could have taken Annabelle with you.

We haven't been to Beaches for dinner in awhile & went tonight.  I am stuffed.  We like a salad there and always ask for extra cashews which are roasted and delicious.  Tonight there were double the amount of cashews than normal and they were extra good, but oh too fattening.

Grandpa and I visited the baby today. Baby and Grandpa played a great game called "Grandpa's Head Fell Off." Grandpa holds the baby and leans his (Grandpa's) head back so it disappears from view. Then he lifts his head back up. Baby thought it was hilarious.

It's great fun, if you are six months old.

Then we played "Get Banana Puree on Grandma Instead of Eating It."

He also thought that was funny.

Back from a super fun double birthday dinner at Barone's.  I feel like I've eaten a damn house but it was really good.  I only had the scampi, but it was very filling - the shrimps were really big tonight - but I know the calorie count for that is reasonable no matter how filling.  The chocolate mousse is another story, but boy was it good.

Anybody know the choral music of Kim Andre Arnesen?  I heard a beautiful piece on the radio before bed last night.  Harmonically, he's very much like I am - it's very beautiful and I need to hear more.

Back from a good strong opening. They were very well prepared and did well.

Now to keep it up and improve it over two shows tomorrow and five next week.

I do not know of this Kim Andre Arnesen.

I was especially intrigued with the Milhaud thing earlier. I've never heard that piece, and I must, I must.
