Who in tarnation IS Beyonce and why should I care?

I'm watching Channel seven. Horrid. And what has Roger Ebert done to himself? I know he was sick, but this has nothing to do with sickness. He's had some kind of facial work, and it looks like he's had some kind of fat-sucking thing done (what do they call that - I can't remember). He looks AWFUL.

BK, I watched Seijun Suzuki's UNDERWORLD BEAUTY...it was different then I thought it was going to be, but I still very much enjoyed it...and I will be seeking out some of his other films.

I enjoyed it even more then BLACK TIGHT KILLERS, which was NOT a Seijun Suzuki film...for some reason when I ordered it I thought it was one of his...but I am still glad that I bought.

Beyonce is very pretty...I don't know if I have ever heard her sing before...she does have an odd name, however.

There are four Seijun Suzuki films on Criterion. I especially liked Youth of the Beast, and the early Criterions, Branded to Kill and Tokyo Drifter. However, the latter two, while letterboxed, aren't enhanced.

I REALLY REALLY don't like Roger Ebert. So, you can imagine how I feel about Roeper. And WHO is that "person" with Ebert.

I think he used Melanie Griffith's plastic surgeon. Or Davis Gaines'.

DRMichaelShayne, I've read LEGENDS as well as the Kirkwood book, and trust me: that show is nowhere near the colossal error that called itself CARRIE.

My other favorite version of the Trojan War: Shakespeare's TROILUS AND CRESSIDA. Fry, lechery!

Could Melanie Griffith look any stranger? Her mouth is grotesque, and her boobs are now so low they're practically sitting on her waist. She's walking with a cane because according to her she was attempting to climb Mt. Everest and broke her foot.

I especially enjoyed being told that Ray and The Aviator was doing well at the box-office. I don't believe the profit participants in either film will be seeing any royalty checks.

CONGRATS ON THE NEW MILESTONE!

Sorry, I wasn't here, but The Lovely Wife and I were squeezing in a viewing of RAY before Oscar time. It was a way to avoid crap Oscar pre-shows. For those who thought Joan and daughter were the nadir of the pre-award show, no one is bad as Star Jones. I watched her do part of a red carpet for some award show and it was all about her. It was amazing to watch someone take a trivial prelude to an event and make it even more trivial.

I've tune to channel 7, the ABC outlet and will just stick with it. But if I take the dog out now I will be able to miss most of this crap altogether. I'm curious to see how Chris Rock will be tonight. He had a great quote in the LA Times magazine today dissing Aviator for have no dramatic tension, saying something to the effect: "It's about a rich white guy who needs money to do what he does. Well, that he HAS. Where's the drama?"

Maybe his irreverence can keep it from becoming the snoozefest it has become in recent years. It's rapidly becoming as relevant as the Miss America Pageant.

To watch, or not to watch. Hmm...

As for Ms. Swank - I think she likes to show off her ample nipples since in most of the praise-worthy roles of her career thus far she has played some less "nipply" characters.

I believe Roger Ebert had both some sort of facial tumor (which was removed) and a very bad stroke, which is what you are probably noticing.
