After taking a decent sized spider out this morning I said to Keith at least it wasn't a possum.  We then opened HHW on his computer so he could read DR George's saga.

Keith kept groaning at all of my mistakes in my posts.  I really was falling asleep as I was typing and had to retype much of what I had written.

Moral of the story: Never marry a copy editor.

There are far too many people on FB who need to understand why their opinions on GoT are wrong

Rob Berman has asked me to help with is 92nd Street Y event, and I think we'll begin today or tomorrow.

That looks like it'll be a lot of fun!  I wish I could go.

DR George, I loved the story of the baby opossum.  Thanks for treating him so gently.

I'm thankful that it wasn't a dangerous (to me) experience!  It could've ended very differently.

I knew that DR Elmore was in for several days of HELL, and it sounds like it's proceeding according to plan.  :)

Vibes for as smooth and quick a transition as the fates will allow!

George, you missed a chance at having some fine vittles. Our greasy marsupial friends can be the basis of some rewarding stew, if you can get past all of the bones.

Just read that Doris Day died at 97.

I read that earlier. :( But, 97!  Wow!  What a life she must've had!

I always thought it was interesting that Doris Day, Rosemary Clooney, and The McGuire Sisters all took singing lessons from Grace Raine in Cincinnati.

And all of them could handle a lyric with the respect it deserves.

I remember one time when Rosemary Clooney was on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and he commented very favorably on her enunciation...that she could always be understood when she sang.

We have had a disaster at our house today.....I am surprised it was not reported on CNN.

Birdy Barnum's basketball goal/mirror was crooked.  I straightened it up and turn the screw to tighten it......AND IT BROKE OFF!

It has been glued on the back and I am waiting for it to set completely before putting it back in the cage.

BUT I am getting the silent treatment and the fish eye because his sports equipment is missing.....at least unless I am getting a strong and loud tongue lashing.....it's fairly evenly balanced between the three....

I am horrified by the behavior of DR VIXMOM's lunch companions.....

Same. Although I was curious if the food was actually worthy of being returned.  I don't normally return things to the kitchen (although I don't usually have anything that was bad enough to be returned). The only exception is if the meat I've ordered is way underdone (has I hate rare meat).

I had read that most places can recook your too-rare meat if you haven't eaten any of it (especially a burger...I also hate rare burgers).  If you just cut it as soon as you get it and look at it, you can have it cooked more thoroughly, and they restaurant doesn't have to throw away an otherwise perfectly good piece of meat.  But with burgers, if you've taken a bite, I guess there are health codes and laws preventing that from being recooked, even though it's all pretty much sterilized.

I’d like to think the interview went well. 50+ minutes instead of the 30 scheduled.

That's, great, John!

Thatch finally came out of hiding and cozied up to me while I worked.  However, he and Annabelle refuse to eat since their eating area is across from Stella's cage.  They must be starving.  Stella is gobbling down everything I serve her, and Thatch is back in hiding.

I took Stella out for a bit this afternoon and played with her.  She rode around on my shoulder, played with the cords to the window shades, explored a bit, and played Thatch's ball game with me.

I finished one of my Moross projects.  I've got to get into How to Succeed . . . tonight so we can finish it up.  There was no call from Rob Berman and there's little time to put this show together.  I'm looking forward top it since I loved working on the Lerner & Loewe show two years ago.

Back from the DGA, then Astro Burger, then picking up a little package and no mail.  Now listening to Poulenc, the choral music - I don't care for any of the a cappella stuff, just not my thing, so I listen then get rid of it.  But Gloria is on now and that's really pretty great.

Jealous of BK and his damned Astro Burger, damn it all to Hell and back.

I lived a mile from there and I used to think I stopped by for a quick delicious burger way too often. Now I know that I didn’t do it nearly often enough.
