Spicy?

The Kung Pao Chicken is spicy.  The Black Pepper Ckicken is peppery.  And no, I didn't share.  It's all MINE!

I try to avoid inter-species food cross-contamination.

Today is going to be a day.  I get to sleep in, then I need to go to a union meeting (hopefully, it'll be a short-ish meeting), then I need to help my sister and niece with my niece's chicken coop, then I'm working concessions for the Masterworks Choral Ensemble concert.  My friend Margo is ushering for the concert, so we'll probably go out afterward.  Then, I'll eventually come home.  It'll definitely be a long day.

Annabelle's not eating again.  I need a lottery win so I can have a vet on call 24/7.

I cleaned her stuffed nose, which she hates, and now she is ignoring blatantly all my attempts to offer her affection.

Stella risked death this morning.  She's clawed huge holes in every plastic bag I have, and I use them for garbage and dirty litter.  Every one is now unusable, and no matter how high I hang them out of the way, the blasted little devil manages to get to them.

I had planned to use the end of my round of work on groceries, but I fear I must hold off in case I need an emergency vet visit with Annabelle.  We'll see if she eats tonight.  Beyond that, I have very little planned for my day and it will be a lazy one.

Elmore, I wouldn't go to the the vet just yet.  Annabelle won't starve to death because she missed a few meals.  When she's hungry she'll eat.  My Bandit ( who I watched be born and who died in his sleep 16 years later) occasionally would turn up his nose and refuse to eat.  A meal or two later he was eating the same stuff he refused earlier.

DR JohnG, your comments about the play you saw reminded me that in the mid- to late- 1980s I saw in Princeton a play by a pretentious local playwright whose name I no longer remember any more than the play's title.  It was an Albee-Virginia Woolf ripoff about a Deathday Party some terminal character was throwing with lots of recriminations and idiocies, including a deat or murder, as I recall, and I thought it was ridiculously dreadful.  What do I know?  One of the NYC soaps hired this jerk to be a writer, which explains a lot about the stupidity of  much soap opera dramatics.

I would however make sure all plastic bags are safely inside a drawer, cabinet or storage box of some sort.  If a little piece gets caught in Stella's throat she could choke

We had to be sure all plastic bags were safely hidden because Bandit loved  to lick and chew plastic bags

She's not eating because of her nose and respiratory issues.  If she cannot smell the food, she won't touch it, and Stella and Thatch eat it.  I worry about this leading to dehydration.

Not when she can't smell.  It can be the same bowl, same locale, and different clean water.  If she cannot smell it, she passes it by.  When this first happened over a year ago, I forced water into her mouth with an eye dropper and smeared Gerber baby food onto her leg so she'd lick it off.
