Well, you've read the notes, the notes were merrily proofed and moved along, and now it is time for you to post until the merrily proofed cows come home.

Topic of the Day:  fortunately, not.  Most of my FB friend are friends in real life and we have similar opinions, so there's not much headbanging, other than banging our heads at what the current administration is doing. ::)

Sometimes I get embroiled in the nonsense that is facebook but mostly I try to bite my tongue.  As you know Bruce, once you initially comment you can become caught in an unwanted discussion or be personally attacked.

I try to save my rebuttles when I have articles or snopes to back me up.

And it’s an early one. But I’m awake and there’s no going back on that.

BK, thank you for posting that video!

It’s uncanny, how on this one, seeing just a small part of an intersection or some mid-block shot, I instantly know where I am — or in the case of residential areas, have a pretty good idea where we are. But this is my time, 1974, and you can rest assured the Hollywood Blvd. portion will get some very close study.

I’ll be back at it later, but can you make out the film title on the Pantages marquee?

Edit:  It’s THE TRIAL OF BILLY JACK. Per IMDb (and I know it isn’t reliable on this stuff), that and EARTHQUAKE opened in mid-November 1974, and of course there are the Blvd.’s holiday decorations. None of the other marquees can be read by the likes of me.

Well, it’s back to The (Horrible) Wizard of Oz for me this evening, and for the weekend.

I went through the score last night, following along while listening to the music and effects track of the movie. It’s nice how faithfully they preserved much of the film’s incidental music, some of which is quite complex and challenging, and it’s equally amazing how they departed so radically from the relatively easy stuff like the scoring of a song like “Over the Rainbow”. One wonders what the decision making process was when this was getting adapted for the stage.

I’m on cat feeding duty and since I’m in danger of losing a limb or something if I don’t act now, it’s time to eject myself from this recliner. Back later.

T.O.D.

Except for posting my stuff on my many FB pages, I have learned to avoid getting into "discussions" on controversial subjects.

Good morning, all!  I had meant to get out of bed an hour after I fed the cats.  The alarm was reset for 7:30, and I lay there enjoying the cool breese.  Annabelle jumped onto me at 8:15!
