No Hal!  But if everyone accepts the part offered, we have a cast.

I won't be around much today - doing a rehearsal schedule and will be dealing with the fallout from all of the people who were NOT cast, it won't be pretty.....I am not looking forward to it.

Yikes. Is that a common occurrence there?

I'm sure people (individuals) everywhere are often disappointed in not being cast in something. But I've never been aware of this becoming a Big Thing with multiple people. Sounds like you have a mob to deal with.  :)

Well, I need to run a couple of errands, then be working on PIPPIN the rest of the day. And most of the day tomorrow. And so on and so forth until I've played their two closing shows this weekend.

TOD:

Repo Man
Harold and Maude
Heathers
This is Spinal Tap
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Big Lebowski
To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar

I had to Google "Cult films" to get a list of what's considered a cult film. Some of the titles I don't particularly agree with. I wouldn't consider "Teen Wolf" a cult film, but I do love that movie.

I almost listed "Weird Science", but then realized I was confusing it with "Real Genius", which I really liked. I never saw "Weird Science" and "Real Genius" wasn't on the cult film list unfortunately.

In the summer of 1979 or 1980, there was a wonderful Cult Movie Festival at the Beacon Theatre.  I saw so many.

I also had to search cult films.  Since it was in the wee hours of the morning mine was a quick search which resulted in a small number of films.

HAROLD & MAUDE was the only one on the list I would include on mine, not that I have seen it in years.

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory is listed as a cult film, really?  OK, I will put it at the top of my list.

I’ve been reading a wonderful British children’s book from yesteryear called The Marvelous Land of Snergs. In it, our author uses the delicious word disquisition. What a great and playful word for a children’s book.

I'm up, I'm up - got up at nine-thirty and back on the phone with AT&T and PayPal, since the cancelled payment somehow went through - so now we had to open a claim and it's another ten days.  I asked AT&T, they didn't know why it went through and they haven't received it yet, so when they do they'll cancel again and return the money but knowing how these things work, it will be the full ten days before I see this money.

Vibes for Vixmom.

I had flooding problems in Alexandria. The previous owners installed a sump pump, which took care of some of it. I then made some other modifications and that made a big difference. Not fun to clean up. Not fun at all.

It's only 74 degrees in Alexandria, VA.   Tomorrow's high is 84.  Back to the nineties on Sunday.

Yes, it sounds that way.

I had a situation once in the corporate world where a young woman who'd interviewed for a job in my group called me and asked why she wasn't hired. She said she was well-qualified and was rather demanding about it. My first thought was how this would have gone down with the other managers. Not well! I explained truthfully that we had three people, all of whom were well-qualified, but could only choose one. She seemed to accept that. As I hung up I was VERY glad we hadn't chosen her.

Had she called me to verify that we'd filled the position and then asked if she wasn't qualified in some way, it would have come across differently. But that wasn't her personality. I knew I'd never hire her.

I'd love to read it. Maybe I'll have to try the Kindle edition. The others are outrageously priced.

I loved KING OF HEARTS. I didn't realize it had a cult following. I'm surprised Netflix has it. It's now in my queue.
