SAGACIOUS!

The question is to have a sweet or to not have a sweet.  I think the latter, if I can figure out something that sounds appealing.

I would just like to emphasize that BK's phone "George" is neither ME nor MBarnum's George, who isn't me, either! ;)

Or my brother who shouldn't have his emails sent to you.  ;D

And it wasn't my Uncle George, who died in 1990.

Perhaps it was Eliza's lover George from faraway province of Oheeo.

Or....could be...it might have been "Curious George."

Last night I watched RIDE THE WILD SURF on DVD. Hmmm...it wasn't as much fun as the Frankie and Annette beach pictures, I must say. And I thought the cast seemed a bit old for their roles....and Tab Hunter...you know, maybe it was just this movie, but he really isn't a very good actor is he?! He looks good, no doubt about it, but as an actor, I just don't know...not that I am any judge on acting abilities! LOL!

That said, I still want to get Tab's upcoming book!

Peter Brown was SO cute in that.

Where is spring, you ask?  It's in the Northwest!  Bright blue skies and 70 degrees right now.

It sure is-the daffodils have been up for two weeks now.  The primroses are in blume and allergies are ablazin.

Mt. St. Helens has erupted, or at least burped, again.  It's all over the news.

Just a one-liner on FNC:

Late afternoon television footage showed the plume billowing thousands of feet into the air, then drifting slowly to the northeast.

I'll wait for pix

BK, there are a lot of time share places that do those sort of scams. They usually say something about it in very very tiny print at the bottom of the entry form.  Hope you show them and win the car

DB, I don't think that's a pic from today--it was much more dramatic.

Oy, oy, oy.  "Let's go see it from Council Crest," says Dear Spouse Betsy.  Council Crest is the highest viewpoint on the west side of Portland, and is about a half-mile from our house.  We discover in rather short order that the rest of the civilized world had the same idea.  The most unbelievable traffic jam I have been in in years.  It took us about a half hour to go the few blocks to the park.  By the time we hiked up to the top, most of the plume had blown off to the east and there was just a haze left.  So we trundled back down and got in the car and again hit very bad traffic.  Well I knew a shortcut, down a very precarious one lane extremely steep barely paved road literally cut into the side of the mountain (I, ex-Utahn that I am, use this term relatively) that we live on.  Only to discover about a million people trying to come up the hill at the same time.  So the line of people trying to go down the one lane had to back up in tandem and wait for the line of people going up the hill to get past.  Then we all charged on to the road screaming at the next group of climbers to let us go down first.  I'm watching the news next time.  :)

And the radio job for DS Betsy is evidently not a dead subject.  The PM of the station called her again today, said they couldn't do the show without her, upped the salary by over 25% (which, if you know radio, is unheard of) and begged her to take the job (which, if you know broadcasting, is COMPLETELY unheard of).  So we are trying to figure out what he'll offer if she says "No" again.  :)

I can't see any smoke plumes from Salem  :-\

I am watching KANTO WANDERER on DVD. It is ok, I guess..Akira Kobayashi is quite handsome, but the movie isn't really that interesting...I should have heeded your advice, BK.

I do have YOUTH OF THE BEAST in my DVD line-up, however. Actually I have two of them as I bought it this weekend forgetting that I had ordered it from Amazon.com as well! I hope I can find my receipt!  :(

He's the one with the headache, believe me!  PMs are used to people lining up to be hired.  The fact that Betsy can take or leave this job is driving him batty, LOL.

Question for DR SWoody: How soon until Peggy and the pups are ready for adoption?

They're ready now for anyone willing to give them the medical care they need (treat the mange).

der Brucer

(Actually, we have delayed starting the treatment which is a very toxic dip, that can have serious side effects, in hopes they will get well on their own. This form of mange is stress induced, and since they have transfered all their stress to us they seem to be getting better.)

Peggy is completely house-broken and the puppies are getting the hang of paper-training.

Once again, I didn't get around to DEADWOOD, so I'll try again tomorrow. LOST is a rerun, and I may watch DEADWOOD in the afternoon and then save a DVD (GREASE 2 is loaded and ready for viewing) for early evening until ALIAS comes on.
