Today, I'm taking the day off from work. It's my dad's 81st birthday and we're all going to go to my parents' house to celebrate.

Originally, I took the day off because my mom bought my dad a new (to them) desk from a friend if hers for my dad's library and we were all going to take out his old desk, clean up things, then bring in the new-ish desk. But my dad fell down yesterday and isn't feeling too well, so we'll switch the desks some other time, maybe sometime next week. But I'm still taking the day off because I have the time, and I just want to. So, we're all going to my parents' tonight and just celebrate his birthday with dinner and a cake.

Another night of several awakenings, culminating in a bizarre dream in which the Danbury Symphony was holding a special event for pianists. The fifty or so pianos were set up, and everyone at all levels who wanted to come and sightread and play along in the Tchaikovsky concerto was welcome. At one moment I was half tempted, and since the event wasn’t to start until noon, I had plenty of time to get there. In the next moment I knew I couldn’t get through one page of that, not even faking it. Another good one to just wake the HELL up from and try to shake it off.

Last night's Act Three run thru was hampered because THREE folks decided they couldn't come....tonight when we do our first run through of the entire show...only ONE person is scheduled to be absent....
