I have been on a mad house-cleaning jag all day. Besides, getting refrigerators and garbage disposals fixed, I have been straightening and sorting and cleaning up debris that's been around here since Christmas. Oh, I feel saintly and pure!

International Herald Tribune, Paris, today:

A musical based on the 1942 movie "Casablanca" will make its world debut in Beijing next month, the Xinhua news agency said.
The film starred Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman as former lovers who meet again in Casablanca, Morocco, during World War II.
The stage version will feature tap dance numbers and the theme "As Time Goes By," Xinhua said.
The premiere is scheduled for April 8-12 at the Great Hall of the People, the seat of China's legislature.

I'm "so sorry" that Elizabeth Jagger and her boyfriend can't afford a hotel room to have sex, and I "love" that British judge who ruled that they had a "legitimate expectation of privacy" when they engaged in sexual activities just INSIDE a nightclub's doors Feb. 17.

Am I too old fashioned if I say that, to me, those people -- judge included -- are full of ..... sh.t?

Good Evening!

Back from my dinner date, and a fine dinner and date it was.

-Actually, the service was a little slow and sketchy, but once the food arrived, it was quite delish. He, David, selected a place here in the neighborhood - the menu was a bit varied, but seemed to feature both Cajun and Tex-Mex items.

The conversation was sparkling, and we have lots in common too. One thing we, unfortunately, had in common was that we both happened to be a little tired tonight. The week had caught up with both of us. -And he has to be up at 7:00 tomorrow to go into work. Yikes! We're gonna try to get together again sometime tomorrow night or on Sunday.

But even though we both were a little tired tonight, we had a very good time.
