Had a roast beef sandwich for lunch - very good, and this time instead of slathering it with very caloric 1000-Island dressing, I used mustard, with no calories - no fries, no onion rings, no side Caesar, so under 500 calories for sure.

It was a fairly stressful day until 4 p.m. when everyone else in the office just up and left. I had an hour to myself and got some extra work done.

Starting a Terry Gilliam film I missed called The Zero Theorem. It stars Christoph Waltz. The visuals are great. The supporting cast is also fun; David Thewlis, Tilda Swinton and Matt Damon.

So, Zero Theorem could have been better. The script isn't as good as it should be. Or maybe it could have lost 10 minutes. The visuals were so overwhelming, there was a sense of things being padded. But I'm glad I saw it.

There's a scene near the beginning when the hero undergoes a health screening. It's so harrowing and sickly funny that, sadly, it reminded me of an even greater nightmare version of some of the stories Elmore has shared about his battles with health screenings.
