No, just a simple shortening of the hem to keep in step with today's fashion, that's all.

;D

So....in view of the shortening...."hem" and "towel" aren't euphemisms of some kind?

You're really just taking some towels to NYC for alteration?

:D   :D  :D  :D  :D

In the large scheme of things, yes, AMERICAN IDOL is trivial as is most of what we post here every day. Doesn't keep some of us from doing it daily. Many of us who DO follow the show have natural curiosity over why someone who has talent, looks, and a large fan following and has been touted as one of the favorites to win would chuck it all with the major competition still to go.

As I said earlier in the day, I was very curious about his reasons, but after two days of pussy-footing with the press, it's obvious Mario Vazquez isn't going to reveal his reasons, so I've ceased to wonder any more. If he chooses to tell us, that's fine. But there are 12 people who are still competing that I will be glad to follow their quests, trivial though it may be.

I, too, enjoyed MEDIUM last night. What fascinates me about the show is that the visions/dreams she has don't always fit into her life in the same way each week, and the way the writers dream up scenarios to have the dreams point her toward some reality in the world is simply wonderful.

BK, some happy news for you!  My latest issue of Men's Health indicates that thongs are on the way out as a fashion trend.

Back from the interview.
I think it went well, all things considered.  I caved in and took some daytime non-drowsy cold pills before my interiew.  They helped me breath, but they always put me in a fog.  That in combination with my lousy night of sleep meant I was a bit loopy.  But I think I held off on full loopiness until after the interview.  The lady interviewing me seemed pleased with my answers, she smiled a lot...maybe that's a good sign, I don't know.  Perhaps I was babbling like an idiot and she was trying not to laugh at me...
I should hear something Friday or Monday.  I'll keep y'all posted.

That is good news indeed, Pogue.  I assumed that at some point women would wise up about the ugliness and discomfort of same.  It did take a while, though, and there will be those who simply continue to believe that the dreaded pantyline should be avoided at all costs, while not realizing that the thong pantyline, that big triangular V heading directly into the butt, is much worse.

Had a nice luncheon with Miss Tammy Minoff.  I' haven't been able to find two male singers for Friday's event, so it looks like I'll be doing the singing AND playing - very annoying.

Thank you Ron.  I will check if pink works.  :D

That is so odd.  It didn't even look like I tried to type in pink, yet I can see the codes even if they aren't where they belong
Another thing.  I would have put a laughing face after belong but I can't.  It only puts those at the end of my entire post and I inserted this paragraph..

Bogie is sitting on my lap while I type.  I had to move him out of the way from the workman.  We have had cabinets removed from around the house today and a new chandalier put up in our entrance way.  :D :D

Now wait just a darned minute - no posts in an hour?  Excuse me, but we'd all just better get off our complacent butt cheeks and RECTIFY the situation.

How could a fungus of terror be trivial?

Hey Gang!

Have I told you all lately that I love you?

Well, I'm leaving work now to go tape some footage of a gathering of some of the LION KING cast at Ronald McDonald House. Painting kids faces, making sundaes, that sort of thing. Sorry, Disney haters, the Gal works for Disney Theatrical and they do some pretty good philanthropic stuff around town.

Good Vibes, indeed to you Ann. And anyone else who needs 'em.

My next two days are going to be super busy, plus I’m delivering Meals on Wheels beginning tomorrow.  Around here you commit to 8 days in a row.  Local organizations usually take the delivery for a month at a time.  Since I don’t belong to any of those I’m on the substitute list.  Since I stopped going to the nursing home on Saturdays (I just can’t bring myself to go without Echo and all but a couple of the people I visited have passed away) I’m more available for delivering meals.  I do the lunch delivery, not dinner.

Well, I give up - I cannot find the wireless mouse anywhere.  This is SO infuriating on so many levels.  I have looked in every drawer, on every shelf, in every closet - it's probably here, right in front of my senile eyes, but I'll just go buy a new one tomorrow.

Hi Folks.

I'm a bit late but wish DR Ann vibes for the job as well.

DR Jane, I'm sure the people who you deliver the lunches to will love you.   :)  Your such a good person.

I don't want to seem too overjoyed about it, but the UPS guy has delivered again:

The Incredibles
The Broadway to Hollywood Musicals Boxed Set!

Happy, happy me!
