I’ve run out of books to read. Except on my Kindle, which is taking forever to recharge. The electricity goes off when you leave the room, so I can’t just let it charge while I’m out.

Is that because you have pulled the key card out?  If so, get a second key to leave in the slot so you can continue to charge your kindle.

I went to visit DR LAURA last night, but she didn't answer the door.  I tried to call her but I don't have her cell phone number.

I did some banking, filled the motor car with gasoline, and finally remembered to pick up my prescriptions that had been at CVS since August.

Of course they had to do them all over again....which was my fault.

No. It’s the door key. And it doesn’t work that way. It’s an old-fashioned metal key.

Glad that mystery is cleaned up.

Wow, I have never seen that system with a metal key.  I would be begging tnem to charge my tablet elsewhere during the day.

Physical therapy went well.  It's chilly this morning, and I wore little, which I didn't mind since it's easy, fast bus rides. Sadly, when I left therapy it was raining, and the little I wore was getting soaked.  I luckily caught a taxi and got home in one piece.  It's screwed up my shopping plans, but that's okay.

I have no other news.  Please keep those vibes coming.  I am in horrible financial shape at the moment.  I've been waiting on a small check, but I have no idea when that will show.

Went out to look at the stars away from the resort. Walked down a road several hundred yards, where it’s darker. It’s also closer to another resort with karaoke or just really loud music. And here I was in the middle of nowhere on a Greek island, looking at Perseus and Andromeda. All of a sudden I realize I’m hearing One from A Chorus Line blaring in the background. Very surreal.

LOL DR JOHN G - culture is invasive....

One prescription was a refill that I didn't need until just now and the other is a new prescription for my cholesterol.....so I didn't even think about them.

My thoughts as well.

Also, now that it can be automated, pharmacies usually call if a reminder to pick up your prescriptions before they are returned.

I've almost finished the overture.  I'm thinking about a fugue to go over "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" for the finish, so tonight I have to write something and see how it fits.

Thanks!  I've been expecting a check from the estate of my late friend Bob Ullman, since I'm one of around 20 or so beneficiaries.  It was a complete surprise to learn that, but I could sure use it right now.

Jane, the cousins you visited in England live there and you also had FB friends from the US there, too?

I went to the hairdresser today. The client before me had medium-length brown hair and was having the tips tinted green. It was a long, multi-step process. This was a woman in her forties. She was hoping the tips would actually turn out teal--that was very important to her. I try not to judge.

There's a Mexican restaurant next door. With her hair still in foils she went over there. "Oh, you're from next door!" they said. I found this very funny. Maybe it's just a surreal day.

I manually order my meds (not automated) when I'm almost out, but they're sent to me through the mail.  I don't have to go anywhere to pick them up.
