Thanks for the vibes!  Having never been through this thing  before, where you can be there for a 7:30 AM flight an hour early, but since the lines are backed up, they say "you're not gong to make your flight" an hour before the flight rather than help you make the flight :) - I'll just leave more time.

Which of course means that I can expect to breeze through and have two hours or more to kill before the flight.

Where are you flying out of?  Is it a very small airport?  You didn't mention if you were checking luggage?

As soon as they realized the alarm time of 6:15 had slipped by and I was still in bed, all hell broke loose.  Thatch sat in the window and and talked - loudly - Stella kicked DVDs off a shelf, and I'm sure Annabelle did something, but she;s too sneaky to be caught.  Then one of them tossed things off the window sill, and I figured WTF and they were fed at 6:30, which will be 5:30 tomorrow.  I am not happy about this.

Yes, the cats are doing a fine job of training you.

DR JANE enjoyed hanging out with an 18-year-old last night....this is shocking news on such a family friendly site as HHW.

You meant DR Vixmom :)

I am surprised over the shock that DR FJL missed his flight due to the lines.  We never only allow an hour to get through the lines, even at small airports.

We now have pre-TSA which usually have shorter lines, still there can be a wait.  We would rather be early, walk around the airport or sit & read.

I remember Franklin Pangborn as an organist at a radio station who was on standby to play in case anything happened.  He had been ready to go on for years but was never called upon.

Then he got his moment....he was nervous running down the hall and telling everyone "I'm on....I'm on...."

He sat down at the organ and the stage manager pointed at him and he fainted and fell off the bench.

I think this was in POOR LITTLE RICH GIRL with Shirley Temple....

I saw "Joker" today.  It was very violent, but I have to say it was riveting and Joaquin Phoenix is sure to get an Oscar nom.

I always aim to get to an airport 2 hours before flight time and usually make it by 90 minutes before.  As DR Jane mentioned, TSA Precheck helps.

Back from a really fun rehearsal - leading man was with us and will be great - he's feeling his way but his instincts are great.  We blocked him into all of act one, then I began on act two and by our finish time I'd blocked all of act two save for the final three pages - so we'll get to act three on Monday night.

This morning I turned the clocks back.  I fed the cats their dinner at 4:15 instead of 3:15, because my clocks now say it was 3:15.  So, they always get their night time treat around 6:30-7:00, and I figured by the old time of 7:30 I'd give it to them.  It isn't working.  I have three kitties demanding their snack NOW!

Damn.

Do you normally check luggage?

TSA recommends arriving 2 hours early for domestic flights & 3 hours for international.  That also included time to park.

Skyscanner says "Keep in mind that boarding typically starts 45 minutes ahead of takeoff, and closes about 15 minutes before takeoff, so don’t make the mistake of thinking you have until the scheduled takeoff time to make it to the gate!"

Craig went to the National's parade today.  I wonder if he could see the parade.  There were a lot of people there.
