In pulling these off the shelf, I'm reminded that the Kaufman & Hart book was NOT the one I first read in those years. My copy of "The Man Who Came to Dinner" was in Six Modern American Plays. That and ""The Glass Menagerie" were my most-read plays from this book. In fact, it's the only one of these that isn't my original as that copy had been abused into nothingness years ago. I later acquired this one, and cut out and stored with it my silly little note of identification and date/place of purchase. Burdine's was a wonderful South Florida department store, and those were the days when department stores took pride in having respectable book and record departments.
