Annabelle is forcing all of us to watch Holiday tonight.  She's on a Katharine Hepburn kick.  I wanted to watch Laura.  Thatch wanted The Three Musketeers.

Holiday is a delight. Not Bringing Up Baby or The Philadelphia Story, but charming. Which version of The Three Musketeers is Thatch partial to?

We saw our upstairs neighbor with our upstairs dog.  He was attacked by a coyote outside of our place last night.  She scooped him up before the coyote could get to him, and did a lot of screaming.  Unfortunately we didn't hear her screams though someone did two buildings away.  She will be carrying a club for future walks.

Oh wow. You have coyotes that can get that near you?

We saw our upstairs neighbor with our upstairs dog.  He was attacked by a coyote outside of our place last night.  She scooped him up before the coyote could get to him, and did a lot of screaming.  Unfortunately we didn't hear her screams though someone did two buildings away.  She will be carrying a club for future walks.

Oh, my goodness!! I'm glad the dog is safe!

Another owner and small dog had a run in with a coyote. 

Yikes!!

Yup.  Shades of the situation in So. California.  In Ashland the coyote around us were well fed, not that they would have gone after our big dogs.

I feel bad for them but not enough that I want them killing our dogs.

This afternoon we went to the movie theater in town and saw "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood".  We were all very moved by the story and performances.

As for Tom Hanks, wow.

After the movie we went out for dinner.

We had a very good time.

The wife is my walking partner though we haven't been able to walk together all that much lately.

Dancing went fairly well tonight. I was just a little tired.

But after three hours of dancing earlier in the day, I think that's OK.

I only worked on the dances for next week's competition.

Watching the documentary Raul Julia: The World's a Stage. Wonderful story of him.

There are a lot of clips of his Taming of the Shrew with Meryl Streep. It was a Shakespeare in the Park production from way back when, and I remember watching a version of it on PBS with lots of backstage interviews. It was the best thing I think I had seen Streep in for decades, and Julia matches her every moment of the way.

I did get to see Julia in Nine. It was my first weekend in New York, and it remains one of the greatest theatrical experiences of my life. He was magic. The women were magic. The staging was magic. The music, the set, everything.
