Monday morning greetings!  Sorry to have been E & T around here lately.  I’m in that wired/tired phase with the Prednisone and my ankle still hurts.

:(  Sending more healing vibes.

I didn't watch any of the GG Awards last night.....but I wouldn't have minded seeing Joaquin and Renee drunk....it may have been amusing.

About ten days ago when I bumped the front of my car on the ice/snow at the entrance to my driveway....the "check engine" light came on.

So today I went to CAR X.  And waited.  At first the man said he didn't know if he had anyone who could look at it....then he said he did, as soon as the guy was done with the truck he was looking at.

SO.....I was waiting and watching MOTORTREND TV.....which is not very entertaining.  It turns out the diagnostic read that a "cylinder was missing out" - but it wasn't.  So the mechanic just reset it and said if it happens again, just bring it back.

NO CHARGE!!!  So I went and picked up my prescriptions...went to get Bird Seed....and went to a new store called Black Friday.

They have wire bins FULL of stuff....you can't really tell what some of it is.  And since it was Monday, everything was $3....on Wednesday it goes down to 25 cents....and started on Thursday at everything is $5.....it was quite an adventure....  I purchased a new shower head, a nice heavy throw with the solar system pictured on it, and a nice kid's pillow for my niece, Kay......

Getting everything done vibes for MR BK.

I would imagine after he won the award for Best Director - that person who skipped the audition might be having second thoughts....or regrets.....

First World problems.

A very frustrating one.  It is why I try to make sure I have a few books downloaded before traveling.  Of course you have had other things on your mind.

I have the complete words of Balzac downloaded. All 95 novels and novelas. I read one, An Invisible Mistress, and got halfway through A Daughter of Eve.

Great stuff:

“To be clear, The Washington Post does not endorse illicit drug use. And for most people, “Cats” is unnerving enough sober. It tells the story of a group of singing, dancing alley cats who compete for the chance to go to the Heaviside Layer, a metaphor for death and rebirth into the next of their nine lives. Critics have described the movie adaptation — which features a parade of superstars (Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, James Corden and others) rendered as uncanny human-cat hybrids — as a feverish drug dream, a bad trip. It is expected to lose as much as $100 million, according to Variety.“

That's great, Larry!

Actually, I don't think that that's very unusual for anyone at the Golden Globes. ;)

I have a WHOLE bunch of books on my Kindles.  I'm never without something to read...unless I don't have at least one of my three Kindles with me.

I’m sure I’ll change my mind a half-dozen times, but my first thought is for a lime chess pie.
