Re the alarms:
I turn all my devices off before I go to bed. I have enough trouble sleeping as it is. I also prefer an old-fashioned battery-operated alarm clock. When I lived in the East I'd get calls to my landline right next to my bed at 3 am. It happened repeatedly. Someone mistakenly had my number as a fax number. Once when it happened I answered and spoke to him. I don't know where in the world he was calling from, but he spoke sufficient English and I explained that this was NOT a fax line, it was a private residence and the phone was next to my bed. It didn't happen again. But usually I got the mechanical tone of a fax machine. I was lucky I was able to talk to him.

I would prefer that my computer and iPhone and iPad were not all connected. I don't know if there's any way you can keep the devices separate. One day I'll have to come up to speed on Apple stuff. Right now I have too much else on my plate.

Did I understand correctly that there's a tequila bar next to a ballroom and John G hadn't been there? Why do I have the impression that he would be expert in such things?

I went to acupuncture today, then stopped for enchiladas. Enchiladas have become my new comfort food and I'm afraid I'm eating them too often. But they are so good!

I am home, and I've fed the cats and myself.  I'm very tired, but i predict our DR vixmom will have a wonderful time next Saturday at Mack & Mabel.  I will be there for the talkback, so perhaps we can meet up after for some smackerels.

Annabelle says that Stella loved the birthday greetings.  She won't talk to me, you know.  She only talks Cat.

And Nursie is a grandma!  How fantastic.  When do we learn her exotic name?

And on that, I am signing off to wash some kitty dishes, stretch out on my bed with my babies, and watch some Downton Abbey.

It is Freyja (Freya) as in the Norse goddesses.

I can't remember her middle name, unless they changed it.  I will have to ask again  :-[

We turn our cell phones off at night at no longer have a phone in our bedroom.  In the quiet of the night we can still hear the landline but it isn't as jarring & we don't have to go answer it.

With Alexa I have never missed a wake-up call though I know it is possible if the power goes out.  We set our cell phones or clocks if we have a super early wake up call.
