Peyton Place the novel is a good read.....if you like that kind of thing.....which I do.

I like the movie - especially when compared to Return to Peyton Place (except for Mary Astor).....

I like both, too.

That dancing cat reminds me that last night I dreamed that Thatch was dancing.  Ethan Mordden was in the dream as well.

I have no memory of anything else about that dream.

Today has brought a little more listening time of Kurt Weill music: Lady in the Dark (Ann Southern), Lost in the Stars (OBC), Der Jasager, the 1930 original 3Penny. I also discovered a live bootleg of something called Kurt Weill and Friends on Broadway. If I ever get out of these meetings, I can listen to more.

Well, here's a first, in the ongoing saga of the not-so-fresh pages.

I opened up the notes on the iPad this morning, and all was good.
A little little I went to the notes on the iPhone, and found myself on (wait for it...) EXPERIMENT ONE, March 19th.
And just now on the computer, I went to the notes and found myself on DISCOVERING A CLASSIC, March 31st.

:)

Were those possibly the last dates you opened the notes on iPhone & computer?

It's a good question, and one that I asked myself. It's not impossible, but it seems unlikely.

Main thing, though, is that in all of these past years, it was never an issue. This only started for a few of us... when was it, a few months ago? And it's hardly a life changer, it's easy enough to refresh the page - at least for me. I think a couple of people did report an issue with that. I just found today's instance really weird.

I have noticed the notes stay at the date I last opened them on that particular device.  I think the most I have gone was 4 days.

I'm up, I'm up - nine and a half hours of sleep and interesting dreams.  Got up  at about one-twenty.

Just ordered a pizza - eight slices in the medium, so I'll see if the nice fellow who lives in the back house (where Grant's mother lived) would like three or four of the slices - since I'll probably be good with four.  It won't be here for another hour.

I know there are a couple of packages to get, but I think I'll wait until Sunday to get them - very few folks there on Sunday.

Nine and a half hours of sleep sounds heavenly.  I never did get back to sleep this morning.

Pizza arrived.  Not bad, not the best.  I got the thirteen-inch, which is eight pieces but they're pretty small pieces so I'm thinking eating eight would be like eating four normal slices.

Ate six of the eight little slices and gave the other two to the fellow in the back house.

Went to Wegmans supermarket.  I go there occasionally.  It's about 20 minutes from home, as opposed to 5 minutes to Giant.  I was really impressed with their efforts to keep everything sanitized.

There's one line for checkout.  It goes down one of the aisles and sometimes farther than that.  When you get to the front of the line an employee tells you which register is ready.

I got to the register to see the cashier finishing cleaning the entire belt and surrounding areas.  Customers are instructed to load the belt but stay put until the cashier calls you up  (after she's finished scanning).   They're really taking this situation seriously.

My friend in Pasadena, CA told me about a streaming services, kanopy.com.   You can watch a certain number of movies a month for free. You just have to have a library card from a participating library.   They have an eclectic choice of movies.  There are lots of documentaries too.

My acupuncturist reopened her office today. She was masked and gloved while she treated me. She has to get used to the gloves while inserting the needles. The building maintenance staff installed dispensers of disinfectant wipes at several locations.

I'm surprised at elmore not caring for The Best Years of Our Lives, but I suppose we all like what we like.
