Thatch gave me a scare this morning, I think this was the first time I ever set down a bowl of food that he wasn't right there waiting. Instead, he pulled an Annabelle act and avoided me and gobbling sisters. I was worried he was sick, or worse that his heart was killing him. Five minutes later, when I got my coffee, he was eating. Big sigh of relief!

Last night the cats and I watched Gene Tierney and Cornel Wilde in Leave Her To Heaven. There were times I thought Tierney was channeling Katharine Hepburn, but she's quite wonderful. The night before we watched The Best Years of Our Lives, another film I'd never seen before. I kept wanting to like it more than I did.

Had weird dreams. All I remember of one was somebody telling me that Pablo Picasso was there to do the background. I turned around and, sure enough, Picasso was there in his collarless blue-striped shirt creating 3D images around me.

He smiled and seemed to be enjoying himself.

Good news from DR TCB about Plan D.

The BIGGEST problem for me with our latest season permutation is that I won't get to be in YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU......I have always wanted to play Kolenkhov.....but with the show I am directing rehearsing at the same time - just not possible.....

SIGH......first world problems.

My friend Ric who is one year younger than I has tested positive for COVID-19.

He and Shelly his wife are now quarantined for two weeks.

They are fellow board members at PCPH and I have done many, many shows with them both. Ric is a retired school teacher and Shelly runs the Putnam County Crisis Pregnancy Center.....

So far no other personal friends of mine have been diagnosed.....

One of my MIL's caregivers has symptoms and has been tested. We haven't heard the results yet. MIL lives in The Home in Indiana.

Last night, on DVD, we watched THE TALL TARGET (1951) with Dick Powell.

It's a pretty good movie, inspired by an actual attempt to assassinate Lincoln BEFORE he was inaugurated.

Incidentally, watching the movie, I noticed my very first publicity client playing a small, un-credited role.

His name was Charles Wagenheim, and he played the telegraph clerk.

Probably Charles' best remembered role was in Alfred Hitchcock's FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT. He played the Assassin in that one

Years after I represented him, Charles was murdered by a burglar who broke into his home.
