Mom turned 93 yesterday.  She had a quiet day, I sent flowers the day before and her caretaker made her an angel food cake with I think they call it 7 minute frosting.  It's sort of like marshmallows.  it's her favorite and she loves lots of frosting.  My brother got her pan fried chicken from this place at the lake she loves and today they will bring her dinner.   She's happy

A Very Happy (if belated) Birthday to your mother, Cillaliz! :D

Finished with the group thing - it was fun in its way.  I spoke, I answered questions for about ninety minutes.  Now I must eat.  None of the Door Dash places I was interested in are open today.  So, I have stuff here or I can do to McDonald's which isn't thrilling-sounding to me.

After setting up the chicken thing at my sister's, I drove through Taco Bell and got a Burrito Supreme.  I hadn't had one in quite a while but it was very tasty. :)

Did anyone receive their stimulus payment?  Some were sent yesterday......and more will be sent out this week to those with Direct Deposit.

Not I.

Is salami a traditional Easter food?

It is if it's your tradition. ;)

Just our two pastors were at the church and they took turns running the camera and conducting the service

I find this far more moving than those idiots preachers who opened told their congregations to go to church.

Yup...idiots is right. :P

Back from a short drive.  Drove by a Burger King - about ten police vehicles there, lights blinking - since it's only open for takeout one wonders what's going on there.

Maybe someone went in pretending to pick up an order, went into the bathroom and tried to steal one of the big, giant rolls of toilet paper.

It could happen.

I had to pay but did it from my bank account, so I'm wondering if I'll get mine direct deposit or have to wait for a check in May

Love seeing a bit of the ensemble work in Jubilation.

I know you don’t intend to show any more, but I’m dying here trying to imagine what the Sadie Hawkins Ballet must have looked like.

Did the MD arrange the score for the other players? I forget how you said you handled that back then.

David Siegel reorchestrated the score for piano, bass, drums, guitar/banjo, and fiddle.

The band is so rough on Sadie Hawkins - they'd only done the sitzprobe prior to this dress, and by the second dress and first preview it was much better.  You certainly get an idea of the ballet, which I staged as Kay was out with a cracked rib, and it's really fun, but the ending is excruciating to listen to.  I wasn't happy with the fiddle player at all - needed one like we had in Hit Song, who really understood that kind of thing.  He got better during the run.  And I cut the overture in half (having already cut it in half) after this dress and that helped a lot, but it's fun to watch.  It frosts me that we never got to film again thanks to the idiot then-chair of the department who, as I've mentioned, would be fired about six months later, indirectly because of something he did involving me.  That was the best thing to happen to the department.  His concern was that the licensing company forbade any kind of taping and I'm thinking, yeah, so what, everyone does an archival taping to have a record of the show and staging, but he wouldn't budge.  I even went to the licensing company and they were just you'd expect they'd be.  I'll see if there's anything else to extract.

So...I was just on www.Playbill.com watching the one-minute preview of the filmed Broadway production of Bandstand that's available now to stream for three days for $6.99 as a fund raiser until April 17.  I LOVE this show!  I saw when it was shown in the theaters as a Fathom Event.

When the short video ended, as usual, a bunch of links to other Playbill.com videos came up.  BUT one of the links was for the full-length show!! :o I don't think that it's supposed to be there because they're supposed to be charging $6.99 to watch it, but right now, I can watch it for free.

I also found that I can't copy a link to that specific video.  When I click on the Share button at the bottom of the video frame, the link that's there is for the original one-minute video preview, not the full-length show.  I LOVE this show and had already decided to pay the extremely reasonable $6.99 to watch it, and I still am, but at least I'll be able to watch this until I turn off my computer. :D

Well, it turns out that the full-length video showed up more than once!  HERE is the one-minute video.  If you click Pause once the video starts (after any ad), the full-length show MIGHT show up as an option!

I like that you could send her flowers and there was someone to receive them for your mother.  I thought of sending our daughter in-law flowers for her first Mother's Day.  If Bryan isn't there she would have to leave the baby to go down stairs & outside to get them.  I'll pass.

They do it contactless, so they set them down at your door, call you and wait until you pick them up outside your door.   Mom is perfectly fine to go to the door get the phone etc, she just doesn't answer the phone if she doesn't feel like it, so I had to make sure Krista would be there

It is the same here.  You can't always do that with a baby :)

He also posted a selfie in his PPE.  I guess that's the thing to do these days, or at least that's what his post says.  I hope he's keeping his spirits up as what he's doing is thankless.

At least he is protected.  Vibes he stays safe.

9,385 died here so far...

188,695 confirmed  cases. But considering how many remain untested...

:(   Your co-worker is a perfect example of those untested that should be.

I would think so.
