Thanks to everyone for the good wishes.

As more time goes by, I realize how really LUCKY I am with my diagnosis, quick treatment, and my doctors' actions.

Everything happened in the space of about 18 days from sending me to the emergency room to my surgery.  I didn't really have much time to think about the fact that it might go wrong or that I might shuffle off this mortal coil.....

I'm alive and it seems more like a miracle every day.

I know how you feel,Jack.  Whenever I hear about somebody being ill I am filled with gratitude for my good fortune in receiving excellent treatment and the support I received from family and friends, and I count the members here as having been crucial in keeping me positive when things got tough.

We were also very glad to be here for the Vixter.

Well, so much for getting two meals out of the spicy chicken over rice dish - I ate the whole damn thing because it was ADDICTIVE.  Could not stop.  Now I can't move.

I only ate a few bites of the salad so I have that for later should I need it, and no room for their great bread so I have that, too.

I went to the market earlier. Gas is now at $1.28 a gallon. And I don't need any.

They were still out of wipes, but they had spray cleaners today. Flour was still low, soup was relatively low, eggs were still limited to 2 dozen per customer.

I did find out something else I thought was weird. They don't have bouillon next to the soup. They have it with the canned vegetables. Why? Don't ask me. I couldn't find the bouillon at first, so I asked one of the sales clerks. She had never heard of bouillon before, so she couldn't help me.

I think Jane is the only one here besides me who has Acorn TV, but there's a French mystery series there that I like very much, BALTHAZAR. Acorn TV offers a free one-week trial, should anyone wish to give it a try.

Thanks for the tip.  I think we still have Acorn.  Keith is always switching things around, depending on what we want to watch and special deals.  I will also tell my brother about it.

;D  You did say you hadn't had it in a long time.  Maybe next time you order it you can make it last longer.

Interesting.  Was it a can, jar, or those little cubes?  I have found the cubes, and maybe the jars, near the Lipton Onion Soup mix.

Did I forget to say that my STIMULUS was in the bank this morning?

I believe I did -- and if that isn't worth a post, I don't know what is.

Congrats to you and DR elmore!

They had all several types, cubes, powder, jars. I was looking for a vegetable Better Than Bouillon, but they didn't have it. They had several others from the brand, but the only vegetarian version was Roasted Garlic, which I already have. And I have chicken, beef, pork, clam, lobster, mushroom, tomato, you name it. So, it wasn't a life or death thing.

It has been a long time since I have purchased vegetable Better Than Bouillon.  It always seemed to be the first to sell out.

We were also very glad to be here for the Vixter.

You were a Godsend for her, especially that day when my gall bladder decided it was not getting enough attention and decided to make itself known with a vengeance.

15 year old Vixter came home from school to an empty house with and a note from her Dad that we were in the emergency room.  I ended up being operated on the next morning but that night she was comforted by you all here

Wow. I've only ever seen chicken, vegetable, and beef.

Keith unexpectedly had to get something from Fred Meyer.  I went with him and purchased 2 small coffee ice creams & 1 small vanilla bean.

Test was interesting - not sold on it quite, but we came up with another solution that we're now researching.
