Tuesday morning greetings!  We're about to do our weekly grocery pick-up at Kroger, then "attend" a Miami University webinar about what we used to call "information literacy."  The people doing the presentation are what we used to call "librarians."

The way it's raining here, we're going to need an ark to get to Kroger and back...

Well it was exactly two hours for me from turning the ignition key at my house to putting the last cookie in the cookie jar.....

It certainly takes more time when you go to the grocery store once a month instead of once a week.

The only thing I can't find are the flavor mixes for beef stew and chili.....the place where the rack used to be is not there anymore at WalMart.

There are some spices in bottles, but I like the little foil packages....there was some Taco Flavoring in with the Taco Fixings....but ....  nada.....

Can anyone else read the posters on the wall of the corner where Ben Mankiewicz is doing his TCM intros?

I can see Dinner at Eight and Citizen Kane......but there is a WWII movie poster I can't read (I first thought it was Where Eagles Dare, but it's not) and a foreign language film he stands in front of so I can't see it....

I am home from podiatrist, Spectrum, and pharmacy.  And Thatch just threw up again.  This worries me.

Beginning around 8:30, everything started going wrong.  I dropped the TV remote, and it split open,  I decided to pick up a new one and pay them in person rather than mail it.  So, I had to find a convient location before I left the apartment.  Then, the food delivery man called and said he gave the order to someone.  This freaked me out, so I ran downstairs and he wasn't there.  After I stood outside for several minutes, he pulled up, told me he was confused and called the wrong apartment building.  By that point it was too late to wait for a bus downtown.  The taxi cost me $21.00.

Things improved after I saw the podiatrist, who confirmed the black spot on my toenail was a bruise and not a lesion.  I've been worried about this for over a week.  Then I got to Spectrum, got a new remote, and paid my bill.

Last night I watched The Ghost and Mrs Muir, which I liked, although I had problems with some of the plot.  I liked Bernard Herrmann's score a lot.

We went to Safeway this morning, then to Chuck's (a local store), and then filled our gas tank.

Every classic episode of The Young and the Restless seems about 2 hours long.

I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep - was up at nine working on the group number - so tricky.  I ended up doing a guide vocal that will help them.

I just decided I'd had it. I went into System Preferences and did the following:

Unchecked "correct spelling automatically".  (You can underscore questionable words, but I'll do the correcting if need be.)
Unchecked "capitalize words automatically".  (My writing/posting life simply has too many exceptions to allow this.)
Unchecked "add period with double-space".  (Same. I couldn't even type a parenthetical sentence without getting this.). <--

My life has improved immeasurably!

Well, I don't know if I should go that far, but I think we should pause in silence to commemorate this historic moment.

Has anyone seem The Best Years of a Life from Claude Lelouch? Its the story of A Man and a Woman 50 years later and stars Anouk Aimee and Jean-Louis Trintignant.
