I just watched BLACKWELL'S ISLAND with John Garfield.

I'd never seen i before.

Not very believable...or good.

So, I just had to make Symphony Bar Brownies today. A friend told me about these last week. You make your brownie batter. Put half in the pan. The layer Symphony Bars over the top. Cover with the remaining batter. Bake.

They are excellent.

I have been making caverns out of my paternal grandmother's quilt for Thatch, who likes to play Floyd Collins and hide out in the caves for hours.  This morning, none of my attempts worked, and watching him in frustration try to fold the quilt to work for him was both entertaining and sad.  I finally managed to make a cavern that worked and he's happily napping inside it.

I can't decide if I should call the corner bodega for a delivery or order from Fairway, the Big Supermarket and 74th and Broadway.

I can hear Thatch singing How Glory Goes.

Have you tried Preppy Kitchen's slutty brownies, John G.?

I made them a couple of times for events I was hosting. I never did get to try one.

Slutty describes me quite well. I’ll have to look for them.

TOD: Lately we've just been using seasoned salt on chicken thighs and cooking them in the air fryer. Tasty.

Actually, Annabelle sings it over Thatch's body when they play Floyd Collins. He does like a good show tune, and they both love Randy Rainbow.

I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep - was up at ten-thirty.  Lost one of our guest stars for August due to family issues, so trying to replace right now.

Kitty cleanup is finished.  My rather crazy neighbor Judy left a trashbag filled with boxes of unopened Kleenex outside my door.  I discovered it when I dumped the litter.

That's a nice gift. :)

My parents' cat Henry LOVES to get under a jacket or blanket.  My cat Neve does NOT like to be under covers, at all.  She just won't let me cover her with anything.  I don't' know why. :-\

Both Thatch and Annabelle are cave dwellers.  She's becoming lately a rather aggressive bully about enforcing her own wishes.  Thatch is so sweet he lets her get away with it.

So irritated right now - went to the mail place to get a package I knew had been delivered.  They handed me a package so I came home  but it was NOT the package that had been delivered, it was some other package.  So, now I don't get that package until tomorrow and I wanted it today.  I'll now eat something but I am so annoyed with the mail place because they do this all the time - they don't scan stuff in and therefore don't know it's there.

I slept rather well.  Annabelle's new sleeping spot is the foot of my bed, which bothers me since I worry that I must kick her all night.  Thatch slept next to my pillow, and I have no idea where Stella slept, but I suspect it was the bathtub.

I expect if you do kick her she doesn't mind or she would move ;)

My doctor can be speedy: the referral for knee and hip injections arrived in this morning's email.

Great.
