Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both an enigma and a variation, and now it is time for you to post until the enigmatic cows come home.

Well, my evening ablutions took a little longer than usual and now, I'm off to bed.  Last night, I just couldn't get to sleep, so I hope that I'm actually
able to sleep now.

Have a good day, all!

I awoke this morning thinking today was Saturday.  I am quite disappointed.

I did not watch Broadway Barks, but the entire video is on youtube.  The program, which is to me a glorified infomercial, lasts three hours, so I would never have lasted through it:

I do love that little Jack Russell terrier at 15:36 from the Humane Society, and I will skim through the whole video later today.

DR Laura, my attitude about getting a dog is if it happens, it happens, but it has to be a small dog, like Jack Russell or French bulldog, and I honestly doubt it will ever happen.  It's a nice dream.  Perhaps if I move back to Ohio.

Since it isn't Saturday, I have no plans, as if I did have plans for Saturday.  I'm going to work on an A&T story, and laze about with A&T and Stella.  We have our soaps and court TV shows to keep tabs on.

Kitty cleanup is over.  I filled the litter box with too much litter yesterday, and it was a mess to deal with.  I see a trip to the bathroom with a dustbuster today.

Well tonight is the middle school production of Hamlet in Halves....at the park....in the bandshell....

Tomorrow night is the high school version at the same place.

Many precautions are taken.....sitting on the grass six feet apart....masks, etc.....

My favorite in this preview video is the middle school Hamlet with the skulls on his shirt......and the fact that Dustin spelled it Hamelt in the video.....

The MET Opera’s The Gershwins’ [sic] Porgy and Bess is on PBS (Great Performances) tonight.

https://www.pbs.org/wnet/gperf/gp-at-the-met-porgy-and-bess-about-the-opera/11582/

I am so disgusted with that estate-driven title that words fail me. And if that isn’t enough:

This Met Opera production takes a fresh approach to a complicated masterpiece, which has been criticized for its African American stereotypes since its 1935 debut. The setting — Catfish Row, a Charleston, South Carolina neighborhood – is now a close-knit, aspirational working-class community in which everyone is doing his or her best to get by, instead of an abandoned slum.

I’ll just DVR it so I can check out a few scenes and musical passages when the mood strikes.

Thank you. I have never seen the show. The dubbing was so bad in the Trevor Nunn version that I couldn’t watch it.

There’s a worker outside doing a lot of finishing touches, such as reattaching an outdoor light and hanging a new address marker.

Friday afternoon greetings!  Doing some desk work and waiting for notification that a prescription is ready to pick up at Kroger.  When I receive that, we'll go to the drive-up pharmacy and to the public library for curbside service.  Whew - all this excitement!

TOD - I'm watching the HBO series (on DVD from the library) "Big Little Lies," based on the book my group discussed last night on Zoom.  The book is better than the film, but I'm enjoying the Monterey scenery.

I just remembered an unsettling dream I had last night.  I was living in Ohio with my parents and brothers in the house where I grew up on Goldman Avenue.  There was all this frustration going on with laundry, the washer and dryer, and my dad was dealing with repairs on a clogged toilet.  Then the front hallway began to fill up with flies.  It was like a beehive swarming with bees, only flies.  I remember opening the front door to drive them outside.  This did no good at all and the house was filling with them.  I remember someone saying "Beelzebub is the Lord of the Flies."

And I woke up, rather terrified.  It took me a while to settle back to sleep.
