Rehearsal yesterday was cool and windy and grueling, but definitely gratifying. We ran straight through the show, and it was so rewarding to once again hear our original cast from five years ago.

(They were able to reassemble the cast with the exception of two people — one who had conflicts, and the other (our Sara Jane Moore) who had just passed away following a long battle with cancer.)

I have absolutely no idea how this is truly going to be pulled off, and how it will be received. Well, we never know the latter, do we. But this group is definitely breaking ground with the drive-in concept, and I really hope it’s successful and they reap the rewards they deserve.

When is your performance date?  I hope it goes well.

I always wanted to go to that museum with the world’s largest ball of YARE.

Stuck in a meeting that’s been targeted by a tangential topic. Yawn.

Dress rehearsal tomorrow, and we open on Wednesday.

We also close on Wednesday.  :)

I loved Mildred Natwick in most everything, including Mabel Pritchard in At Long Last Love. Is it sad that I can remember her character’s name? I bet George knows it as well.

I just officially made the final revisions to the A&T book.  I'm very proud of how it's turned out.  I wish the 2021 Writers Market book of literary agents were out, but it usually isn't published until November.

The two keyboards yesterday. We'll have the bass and drums tomorrow night.

And ship's bell. I'm playing the ship's bell. The world needs to know that. Five quick clangs in the opening bars.

It would be wonderful if Ben came back, but in the few times I've seen him over the past several years, there was never any question that it's been good for him to have restructured his life and routine to some extent.

It is ALWAYS wonderful to talk with him, though. How great it would be if people like Ben would at least stop in occasionally to catch up and while away a pleasant hour or so. I would say the same about (for instance) DRs Matthew, Jose, etc.

I've been wondering the very same.  I sent her an email request that she post on my FB timeline that I was banned for 30 days and she did, but she never answered my email.

DR DRUXY I know what you mean.....it's like the Emmy Awards are being awarded to shows in a different dimension than the one I exist in.....and well....I guess they are.

I stopped watching the Emmys when I stropped watching evening CBS, ABC, NBC, and Fox stations, and now there are all these other stations.  I seem to stick to PBS these days.
