Okay, so, BY POPULAR DEMAND...

Some photographic evidence of what the Assassins benefit involved:

Apologies in advance for the ads you'll have to click past.
It's my free Flickr account, and I'm cheap enough to keep it that way.

Just like going to the drive in!  How large an audience was there?

I don't know where the day has gone.  This morning there was no hot water, but we now have hot water again.

I've had a first: all three cats refuse to go near their dinners tonight.

Speaking of cats, I've fallen in love with a one-year-old cat at the ACC named Tater Tot.

Is Leonard holding something white, or are those his chest markings?

I looked twice cuz I didn't remember Leonard having white markings.  Look closely and you can see a bit of paper below his right paw.

Wow that's a pretty cool setup DR CHAS SMITH!

I like it.....and I think I see the Audi in a shot or two.

You probably don't see "that" Audi, because the space it was in is still vacant when these pictures were snapped, and it surely would have been escorted right up there. I remember noticing it pretty close to "curtain", and only because it still had its headlights on for a bit.

I liked MY THREE SONS when Mike, Robbie, and Chip were the sons and Bub was around.....then Ernie came along, and he was okay.....but I never did like Uncle Charley (William Demarest)....he was just cranky with no redeeming qualities - and his red hairpiece plopped on his head was ridiculous.....then they brought on the cringe-worthy Beverly Garland as a new wife with Dodie as her daughter......UGH......

And I also hated it when Fred MacMurray played his Scottish cousin......

But I did like The Danny Thomas Show/Make Room for Daddy....it was always irritating to me when Marjorie Lord would think what she said was SO FUNNY that she would have to press her lips together to keep herself from laughing.....Deb Messing does the same thing.....

And the last couple of seasons of the original run produced by Thomas after Sheldon Leonard left were pretty grim.....topped off by Sid Melton and Pat Carroll as the Halpers......

I agree about My Three Sons, except I thought Charley was ok and never noticed his hairpiece.

We recently watched some reruns of Danny Thomas.  I thought Marjorie Lord was just having fun with the role.

I am glad I waited to read the notes on my computer, otherwise I would not have appreciated the photos.

DR Chas thanks for the photographic evidence of the Assassins benefit.  It is far more than I imagined.

I think they got something like 100 cars, with up to five people allowed in each. That's about half the capacity of the drive-in, and I think they tried to leave an empty space between each vehicle.

Andrew Lloyd Webber is back to offering stage shows on YouTube. This weekend, it’s the 30th anniversary of Fame. Not really liking the first half hour.

Have they announced what ALW's other offerings will be?

I didn't even look at the Met's this week. Too busy. It was all Puccini. Next week is Mozart, and I'll probably hit a few of those.

Hey all.  It's was so nice to log on and see familiar faces and read good content.

I shall be back for more....

Things are fine here in the SF Bay Area.  Still teaching tech and music - Distance Learning at the moment.  In a few weeks, kids may be coming back to campus with about 120 pages of regulations and precautions - which are totally doable.  So, that's exciting.  My pups, Ben and Leo, are fine.  Sometimes I miss doing theatre, sometimes I don't.  Been doing a few recordings myself, some Facebook Live events as well, and that is fun.  One day at a time.

It was nice to log back in again.  I like that this can be a safe place.

Leonard is supposed to get two new toys from Amazon tomorrow. If he understood English, he'd be excited.

Grandpa put together a birthday toy today. Leonard played in the box.

The box will probably be a bigger hit than the two new toys.

We just watched WHERE EAGLES DARE with Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood.

Hadn't seen it for years.

Still a good action movie...with a few surprises.
